holy shit I was gone for months but I'm back and finally finished kinnporsche!

In love with the way that Porsche has permission (or maybe just took the privilege without “earning” it) to be a little shit to Kinn. He slaps him alongside the head for the handcuffs prank and Kinn doesn’t even blink. He coos and teases and mocks and fondles Kinn’s chin and Kinn barely gives a token resistance. NO OTHER bodyguard would be allowed to do this. Big has wet dreams about Kinn allowing him to call him “Kinn” instead of “Khun Kinn” and Porsche is out here calling him “asshole” regularly. Porsche just treats Kinn like any other man, and when he eventually respects Kinn, it’s as a man and not as a Theerapanyakul mafia boss. Kinn is just Some Guy to Porsche, and I don’t think he’s even been allowed to be that. I wonder if he secretly likes it.

I don't think he just secretly loves, I think he's very open about it. in his own way.

Kinn always had complete control over his employees, he can do to them whatever he likes, forbid them anything and allow them everything.

But Kinn probably never learned how to properly show (and receive) affection and fond casualtity, so the best thing, to show that he loves it, is allow it. Kinn let's Porsche handle and touch and mock him without even hissing a breath, because allowance is his form of affection, it's the only thing he knows how to do

Why Kinn’s voice fucks me up: a silly little analysis

I’ve been obsessing over this for a solid month now but haven’t seen anybody really talk about it in depth so I’m taking it upon myself to write this meta. Dw my brand as Unhinged Shit-Stirrer in the tag remains intact. 🤙🏻

This post is kind of hard to do without audio clips (and I’m way too lazy to do all that lol) but hopefully screenshots will still give you a sense of what I’m talking about.

First things first, let’s talk about Mile’s voice. Especially next to Apo, he comes across as a lot quieter, more reserved, and even when he’s excited his voice tends to be softer, not really high per se but lighter. My guess is he’d be a tenor if he sang, mayyybe a baritone with a more limited lower range.

In real life, interviews, BTS clips, etc, his voice makes him sound gentler, more mature, more approachable, even a little shy. His voice projects kindness and gives you the sense that he’s the sort of person you’d like automatically if you met him.

It would make sense then, in his role as Kinn, if he altered his voice, spoke lower or louder, affected a different timbre and tone, all to add to his appearance as someone dangerous and maybe even violent. It’s an obvious choice to make, given not just Kinn’s personality on the page but also the world he lives in, a world dominated by men and toxic masculinity where he’s already dealing with derision and snide comments for being openly gay. It would be completely reasonable for someone like Kinn to use every tool he can to protect and enhance his image and especially his masculinity, which would include his voice.

no because I went into kinnporsche expecting dark gritty tension, loads of heavy topics and expected a very cut and dry mafia ff-like dynamic between kinn and porsche

But then!! They hit us with this!!

Porsche's been have a hard time. He's been stuck in this fortress like workplace. He has to try his best and train his hardest to fit in and be taken seriously or he will have to face the consequences. On top of all this, he saw his boss punish a man whose place porsche had been in a while ago. He got shot at! He killed that guy!! All of this was obviously not easy on him but he had no choice.

And neither does kinn. But he lets himself get dragged by porsche, lies down beside him and he listens.

There is a genuine effort! It's comforting. It's soft. Maybe it's just what porsche needed.

the guy who was taking Porsches runtime (I forgot his name I'm so sorry), said Porsche is still too slow to actually move fast enough to dodge a bullet, and if Kinn knew about it, because he looked at his files, he would've known that Mes was going to shoot Porsche in the chest, so that's why he grabbed him and pulled him away. how else would he have known Porsche wasn't going to be fast enough? we love a stalker boss <3

I hate making posts without media in them, but guys I think Kinn didn't want to take a bullet for Porsche, I think he just didn't want Porsche to get hit at all.

Kinn said he heard that Porsche has been training very hard, and because he already seems so infatuated with Porsche, I'm going to assume he looked at his training files and notes, meaning he saw his hit ratio in the gun range, his rope freeing time and, most importantly, his run time.

like you're telling me they're already kissing at ep 3? out of 14? that means the next 11 episodes are gonna contain so much pain and suffering and angst, it's kinda frightening.

also the ep 4 promo looks like Porsche is going to get drugged, and if it's that scene from the novel that I think it is, then I'm even more excited for next week because yes, I may have just said I'm scared of angst but in reality I fucking love it, and drugged!porsche is gonna be so angsty (and (novel spoiler?) horny), I can't wait
