ELIAS: did coach change the code for the court?
ELIAS: like in the past two hours??
Fox tower looked the same as always and it was a welcome sight. Grey’s summer had been fine, uneventful and kind of dull but it was good to be back with grandparents for a short time again. He was ready to get back to work now, having practised a lot during the summer and eager to get back on the court. He realised he wasn’t the 1st person back when he walked through the entrance to fox tower and caught the end of an irritated tone. Grey glanced at the keys in his hand, which he’d just picked up from reception. ❝ I’ve got ‘em, ❞ he said, jogging over to Elias and holding up the keys in his hand. He reached in front of Elias and swiftly unlocked the door. ❝ There you go. Nice to see you, man, how was your summer? ❞ He asked the question with caution. Grey knew that a lot of the foxes weren’t as lucky as him as far as their home lives went.
elias gave the other a cautious stare as he moved to unlock the door, staying silent until the movement was complete. ‘ uneventful. ’ he replied easily, in direct contradiction of the story the shadow of a bruise under his left cheekbone and the scabs still healing on his knuckles told. he bent down and recollected his bags, tossing them back over his shoulder. ‘ y' just get back ? ‘ he inquired, holding out a hand for one of the keys on the ring grey had managed to find, expecting one to be given over without him having to ask, all while pushing the door to the dorm he shared with jp open, happy to know he was the only one there for the moment.
Noah froze momentarily coming up the stairs when he noticed someone in front of his door that was definitely not his roommate. Realizing that he was actually facing the door across the hall did fairly little to help, and he tried to slip past the other man as subtly as possible to get to his own room.
elias spent his entire life being hyper aware of his surroundings: both for the benefit of himself, and the detriment of local wildlife. if the boy wanted to slip past a fox, he was going to have to pick a different one. the brunette moved with a fluid motion, crossing the small hallway and leaning against the opposite door. ‘ now , how y’ gon’ get in there without any keys ? ’
stop being evil please
truly elias had been back for quite some time, his summer cut short due to a public altercation with jakob. coach posted the bail, but not being reaming him out over the phone and making him promise to return directly to campus. however, at that time fox tower had been closed, so the young man had spent the past few weeks in a motel off the exit. only now was he moving back. two duffel bags were slung over his broad shoulders, and they rocked slightly as he climbed his way up the stairs. a moment later they landed with a heavy thud in front of the second door on the hall. then he turned back to the mailboxes where the keys should have been left -- only to find them empty. a low and long sigh left his lips and he began to absentmindedly rub the left side of his neck. ‘ where the hell did are the goddamn keys ? ’ he asks, not even bothering to turn and face the individual he had heard on the stairs, but rather moving back to his bags instead.
