“sotr is mid because you already know how it ends” shut the fuck up, the point of the book is that despite knowing how it ends you would have never known what actually went down because that’s the point of propaganda, the whole book is about the power of propaganda

SOTR is my favorite book of the series, it was catching fire before sotr came out. that being said, she really explicitly spells out so many things in this book and this fandom is still missing stuff

i know its like ‘new fans this’ ‘new fans that’ but honestly its not just new fans anymore!! suzanne is SCREAMING at us this time because so many people missed the meaning of ballad like… genuinely

like yes there are still ambiguities in this book (lucy grays death, snows exact rise to power, development of the games from 10 > 50 > 75, etc etc) the message of propaganda, the brutality of the capitol and the long-term efforts needed to pull off a revolution are right there people!!!!

i wish the movies more accurately depicted how long the games were. When i was younger I always just assumed that the games were like 3-4 days and the reality is they were 14-18 days (debates on that lol). I get that in movies there is a limited run time but the movie focused 99% on the actual games so i wish we got a little more of an accurate representation!
