I love elias character designs that are like, absolutely normal professional look, with the suit and slick back hair and stuff, and then theres a pair of HUGE eye shaped earings that somehow only make him look more professional.
Genuinely curious about how Oliver Banks feels about waking Jon up.
Like he spends so much of the series trying and failing to help people. He can't save Gertrude. He can't help Jane Prentiss.
He can't even save his dad.
He kills twenty people when he goes to Point Nemo
Then one day, after he's given into the End, given up on rescuing anyone, he dreams of Jon, finds him in a hospital, gives his statement. And Jon wakes up.
For ten years, Oliver's been haunted, cursed with dreams of people dying, unable to prevent it from happening. Until finally he meets Jon and he's able to help him.
And then Jon ends the world.

Relistening to TMA 161 & TMA 162 when being at the end of Season 1 relisten hits different-
I am not crying… my eyes are just… sweaty.
"No Elias. Throwing knowledge straight to someone's brain isn't what people call infodumping and it will not be received positively"
Ever think about how Tim lost his brother to the stranger and then Jon was kidnapped for a month straight by the stranger?..... Did he already start the grieving process? Like yeah he kind of hated Jon at this point but also there was still affection there until Tim died. Was he scared that when Jon came back it was actually the stranger just like with Sasha and how he feared if his brother came back it wouldn't have actually been his brother?! Was that why he was so hostile when Jon first got back, to try and keep himself and his heart safe?
At this point you could have just handed me a loaded gun instead- it would hurt less
i know. i know we all love a wet cat destroyed sleep deprived terrified design for our man. but what about jon wearing his season 1 haircut and outfit trekking through the hells of season 5. he's still the same person. he's still the same person. he's still the same person. what if the clean-shaven, snobbish, academic personality we know on the outside was the jon who drunk in the fear of all the world? what if nothing about his appearance affected how he felt on the inside? what if all of his victims saw him, shining and clean, staring into them in their terror? what if when he looked at himself in the mirrors, or the lakes, or through the great eye, he saw himself, and nothing more? what if he has never actually been able to detach himself from the monster the eye wants him to be? what if when he looks in the mirror, he sees only two eyes, all his own? what if, terrified and weary as he was, the only thing he ever knew how to wear was a facade?

RIP Martin Blackwood you would have loved going grocery shopping with headphones that have a good noise cancelling and using a self-service check out
Super hypothetically right-
If one were to write a fanfic that goes season by season of TMA analysing Martins and Jons emotions and behaviours by exploring "not recorded scenes". And if one were to post it at some point on ao3... in your opinion would it make more sense to post it a chapter per Season (idk how much yet but let's say up to 10 Tsd or more words per chapter) or chapter per time period (each season getting 3 or so chapters, but they are significantly shorter)
Ideal chapter length to read:
Rather longer chapters (~10-20 Tsd words per chapter)
Rather shorter but more frequent chapters (~1,5-5 Tsd words per chapter)
Some crazy 3rd option in which you don't care just want to be included
Headcannoning that Institute has stool or small ladder put in every room cause Elias is too short to reach higher shelves and to proud to ask someone for help
These posts being back to back on my main is so hilarious to me-

There is something extremely human yet strangely not natural about struggling to write "indifference" to "lovers" dynamic.
Because yeah, we do want these characters to already have very strong feelings to each other that can bloom into different type of strong feeling. Which is why enemies to lovers or friends to lovers compel us so much. Because we feel strongly about people we fall in love with. Because we build that feeling on the fact that they made us feel something strong.
But what if they showed up in our life first and we don't really care about them. Until slowly we build the trust. Slowly notice that we feel more strongly about them. They suddenly make us feel. Even if just few weeks prior they were completely indifferent to us.
But that’s an experience not a lot of people actually have.
It's absolutely about Jonathan Sims and Martin Blackwood but I am curious what other character's you think fall under that category.
