I'm ace so I'm not sure I'll write an entire in-depth analysis about this (just because I can't relate to sex on a personal level lol), but I do really love how in the Sailor Moon manga Naoko implies that Usagi is sexually active with Mamoru and that does not take away from or diminish her purity in any way.

Usagi's purity comes from her strength of heart, her innocent spirit, her selfless love, and her inexhaustible hope, not from socially constructed norms of virginity. What makes you pure is what's in your heart, not whether you've slept with someone or not.

This is still a revolutionary message in many parts of the world today, and it was especially forward-thinking for a shoujo manga aimed at young girls in 1990s Japan. As with many topics present in the Sailor Moon manga, Naoko Takeuchi was ahead of her time.

get used to casual glamour. you don't need to wait for "deserving" times to indulge. have glam as your basic setting. get your nails done, do your hair, wear your expensive makeup and perfumes, take that bag out. wear those silk pajamas and eat that fancy food. casual glam sets a standard for you. make it your new normal.

Clothes are ultimately supposed to be what you live in, make memories in, drink in, dance in, run through the sand and grass in, toss off to skinny dip, eat in at candlelit dinner parties, what you look at and you actually have favorite pieces that mean something that are your favorite prints to wear over and over again, that your man looks at you and says I love it when you wear that dress or that skirt or that sweater because he’s actually used to seeing it because you DO wear the same things not only twice but over and over again and it’s a part of you as much as your most loved perfume or your hairstyle, Clothes are supposed to be something that you purchase and save with the thought that you may pass it down someday for someone else to love, clothes are supposed to be lived in, to make you feel beautiful and happy in. We have to take back the relationship we have with clothes, and bags and shoes and accessories, they are not supposed to be trophies that only sit on a shelf to take a picture or video in front of, they are NOT supposed to be purchased to impress other people!! they are not supposed to bleed you dry, break your back, stress you out max out your credit cards and make you start to do crazy things to obtain them, they are not supposed to be a marker for success or the starting line of a never ending race to see how much bullshit you can hoard before you ultimately die.

What's annoying to one person is funny to another. Someone will be flattered by the extra attention from someone others would call clingy. The people who are too sensitive in some people's eyes are admired for being in touch with their emotions by others. What some would consider rude, others consider refreshing. What some people think of as oversharing, other people see as courageous honesty. Someone who's too quiet in some people's eyes is considered a good listener by others. What some people consider too personal, other people would love to discuss in depth. What looks like trying too hard to some people is recognized as genuine kindness by others. The point is that there's no such thing as being universally likeable, so just focus on finding the people who enjoy the qualities you have to offer and don't worry too much about the rest. I promise you that plenty of people out there will appreciate you for who you are.
