Now that I've hit the awkward in-between bangs stage where I'm torn between getting it trimmed and letting it grow out, I kind of want my old hairstyle back 😢 #midlifecrisisbangs
For this look, I tried using a shade of lipstick that I don’t usually wear on normal days. Plus, I did a full lip on this one, which I can say I’m not really fond of (I’m more of a gradient-lip type of girl). I hope it appeared decent-looking on me Haha. I don’t know. There’s just something about the shape of my lips that bothers me every time I try to fill it with any lip color.
Anyways, I know I have been MIA most of the time and I am really sorry. There have been a lot of things going on with my life and sometimes, I forget that I’m running a blog ( sorry!). I’ll try to make time and post as much content as I can! :)
I usually post updates and whatnot on instagram so if you want, you can follow me there ( or just search for @charie_m)
Thank you guys for following me after all this time and I hope you’ll find this tutorial helpful! ♥
Today, I’ll be reviewing the Pinkish Glow Capsule by Royalè.
This review will be a little longer than usual because I wanted to share my experience before and months after my intake of this product, so keep reading! :)
I was never a health buff. Having a sweet tooth is the root of my unhealthy diet. My dislike for eating vegetables doesn't help as well. I do drink green tea all the time, but that’s about it. I haven’t paid any attention to my health until 8 months ago when my mom noticed how my complexion looked dull, ashen and almost sickly.
There is a growing body of research showing that diet really does affect your complexion. Whatever we eat can have a certain impact on how our skin will look. People with healthy, well-rounded diets tend to have more supple, glowing, and youthful looking skin. People who live off meat and sugar, me being a prime example, have this dull look in their complexion and often get more breakouts.
Because of my high intake of sugary treats, I started getting more breakouts. I tried to mask the problem by covering my face with more makeup. I didn’t realize that I should be resolving the root of the matter and that is my unhealthy diet.
This photo was taken about 7 months ago when I was in Seoul. I wasn't wearing base makeup that time and you can see how tired and dull my skin looks. I also had breakouts on both my cheeks that are not really that noticeable in the photo because of the resolution but yeah, it wasn't really my best look.
When I got back from the trip, my mom insisted that I take this food supplement that she is currently taking. I think it was about a year ago before she started her intake of this supplement and I must say, her complexion did improve. I wasn't really jazzed about the idea of taking food supplements on a regular basis because I am just that lazy (haha!). But at that time, I was already a little concerned about how my skin looked, so I gave it a shot.
The Pinkish Glow Food Supplement looks like this. One bottle contains 30 capsules. It is recommended to take just one capsule a day, so a bottle is a month’s worth supply.
This food supplement has Glutathione, which is known for its skin lightening properties. Though the dosage of it is not as concentrated unlike other capsules which have higher amounts of Glutathione. But, I do know that the same company also offers more Glutathione products with different levels of concentration, depending on the lightening power you want.
Aside from the Glutathione, Lycopene and Vitamin E that are all good for the skin, It also contains Alpha Lipoic Acid which help prevent certain kinds of cell damage in the body and Vitamin C which is good for the immune system.
Information on this product from the Royalè website:
“Lycopene is what gives rose its pinkish colour. It’s also naturally found in human skin but gets depleted over time. Lycopene belongs to the family of intensely coloured anti-oxidants known as Carotenoids, which are found within the lipid layers of the skin. It plays a major role in skin health and influences the colour of your skin. Lycopene may be the best free radical scavenger among carotens - it is at least twice as effective antioxidant as beta carotene.
Health Benefits
• Fighting Cancer – Several studies found that eating vegetables rich in Lycopene, such as tomatoes or tomato-based products, may reduce the risk of getting cancer. Carotenoids work to protect against cancer and aging related diseases by acting as an antioxidant to counteract damaging effects of free radicals in tissue.
• Preventing heart diseases – Lycopene is found to prevent oxidation of lipids and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL) and reduces the risk of a person developing atherosclerosis and coronary heart diseases.
• Keeping skin healthy - Lycopene may help reduce the damage to the skin caused by UV light during and after sun exposure. Lycopene has the ability to quench free radicals, which are highly reactive compounds that are formed in the body from normal metabolism. As well as from environmental pollutants and radiation.
L-GLUTATHIONE (reduced)
Health Benefits
• Anti-Oxidant – prevents oxidative stress in most cells and helps to trap free radicals than can damage DNA and RNA.
• Protects tissues by neutralizing free radicals, improves the system, prevents liver and kidney damage.
• Regulation of cellular events - including gene expression, DNA and protein synthesis, cell growth and immune response.”
The capsules are packaged inside this plastic bottle. The lid is sealed so that the capsules are kept fresh inside. There’s nothing really special about the product’s packaging. It looks like any other plastic medicine bottle in the market. I do love the style and colors of the label though.
What I adore the most is what’s inside the bottle. There are a couple of silica gel packets inside to keep the capsules fresh and moisture-free.
All of the good stuff are encased in these pearl pink capsules.
Pretty, aren’t they?
One bottle is priced at 1,400 PHP (32 USD) which is a bit pricey but I think it’s a reasonable price for a food supplement that’ll last for a month.
So, what happened months after I have been consuming these Pinkish Glow capsules?
I’ve compiled these pictures in one photo collage because I didn’t want to flood this post with my selfies (hahaha).
First of all, these pictures were taken from my phone’s front camera so you have to forgive their low resolutions. I’ll do my best to explain the details of each photo.
The first month after of taking the capsules didn’t immediately show apparent results. Honestly, I was disappointed because I was expecting some big changes on my skin’s state. I took the photo after I got home from the mall. I was wearing a sheer layer of tinted moisturizer so I wasn’t really makeupless (This was the only closed-up photo I can dig up from that month. sorry!!). If you look closely, the texture of my skin is not really that great right on my forehead and on my cheeks. But I did notice that my breakouts started to lessen. The dark marks in my face from acne also started to fade, although gradual.
On the 2nd month, I noticed that the texture of the skin on my cheeks improved. I still had little bits of acne on my forehead but I was really happy because I was starting to get results. My mom told me that results should come after 3 months of use so I was quite glad because I noticed results as early as 2 months. I was expecting to get more acne at this time because of the stress from all the schoolwork, but I was really surprised because I looked less stressed out than I really am that time. You can see how dark my undereyes are. I think I took this photo a day or two after my finals.
I remember taking the 3rd selfie after washing my face because I really thought my skin was relatively exceptional looking that day. I didn’t have any breakouts and the dark marks in my face are almost unnoticeable. My skin had that glow in it even though I haven’t applied anything yet. The texture of my skin was smooth and my pores looked less visible, even without makeup.
Fast forward to 8 months later:
My skin looks healthier and glowing than ever before. My skin also lightened a little bit, probably because of the Glutathione. I look fresher and I only get breakouts when it’s close to that time of the month. I did lessen my sugar intake so I think that helped as well. But still, I had to give the most credit to the Pinkish Glow Capsule. :)
What can I say, I am very happy that my mother introduced me to this product. It improved my skin’s complexion and it did wonders on my health as well. I used to have an irregular menstruation cycle and I think this product, along with green tea, helped in making my period cycle regular. My mom was very glad when she heard this news as she was always worried about my fertility (hahahaha).
I wore this flower crown because I thought the color of it matches the product’s packaging. Do I look like the endorser for Pinkish Glow capsules? HAHAHA

OVERALL RATING: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
I give this product a 5 out of 5! I will continue my intake of these Pinkish Glow capsules until I don’t have money to buy them anymore! That’s how much I’m happy with this product! :D But kidding aside, judging by the results that I got, I won’t be skipping a dose any day ;)
I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to improve their skin’s complexion. It is also a great food supplement for everyday. I didn’t notice any bad side effects after taking these capsules. If you already have fair skin, this product can help give you that “pinkish glow” . Even if you have a more tanned complexion, I think this product can still help in making giving your skin a healthier look. But, If you’re looking for a product with intense skin whitening abilities, I wouldn’t really recommend this. It does help lighten up the skin but not as much as products with higher Glutathione concentrations can.
You can purchase the Pinkish Glow Capsule thru the following contact details (They only ship within the Philippines at the moment):
This post is not sponsored by any person or company. I bought the product on the post with my own money. All details stated in this review are my honest opinions and experiences.
Now that temperatures are rising, it isn’t easy to keep your face looking fresh all day. Here is a simple makeup tutorial that is perfect for hot, summer days. :)
