I’m beginning to wonder how much Miranda even cared about Anderson. He’s been completely erased from her PR narrative, she clearly wasn’t upset about the split given the Evan situation and now all the Pistol Annies songs are about Blake and the divorce. Kind of a slap in the face to him I think.

Funnily enough I’ve had a few of these comments, lol wonder why. But look, the easiest way to look at is is, TWOTW was not centered around the divorce. It leaned toward Miranda’s introspective feelings about herself (which we and fans could infer what happened from) but nothing was addressed directly.

So naturally, despite it being three years (with at least one being written in 2015, I may add), it doesn’t seem odd to me that she’d write about the divorce. Especially considering she was reflecting on another break-up and the disaster of who her current boyfriend was.

So anyway, my main point is Anderson was the star of the 2016 album. Blake was merely a footnote then. All about balance, folks.

He’s still seeing her so I don’t think you can call it a fling. They are actually really cute, I see them having dinner in the Gulch often. He’s super affectionate with her which surprised me because I thought he was more reserved. I guess he’s really into her. I’m happy for him. It’s a shame other people just want him to be alone and pining for Miranda. They obviously don’t care about him, they just want to feel better about Miranda’s situation

What’s with the divorce songs on the PA album? After a double album and two other relationships it feels super weird that we’re still circling around that 3 and a half years later. It’s kind of killed my buzz to be honest

It’s not a Pistol Annies album without divorce as a topic.. they literally call themselves ‘housewives scorned’ music. Miranda was singing about divorce before she even married Blake (hello Trailer for Rent)

I think what she meant by that was simply that she still hasn’t found the lasting love that I think she always wanted. I don’t necessarily think she was talking about a specific person or situation...just in general wanting to find lasting love. That’s my take on it.

Way to break my heart :(

I saw where someone said Miranda said she was heartbroken then and heartbroken now at the show. What do you think she means by that? What do you think she is still heartbroken over now?
