Burning Spice honestly had been getting quite tired of this in and out day and night cycle. So hearing about an entirely new soul jam?

Now that was interesting. That would be FUN. So like any sane cookie he of course hunts them down. It took a few days, but he found them eventually.

“….. why do you look just like Milk’s little simping brat?”

WUH? SPICE? He grins ominously.

“Sorry not sorry.”

“…I was.”

[That was a rather rude greeting. Toffee Apple raises an eyebrow, looking up from the garden outside her house. What happened to “hello”? “How are you”? “My name is”?]

“I don’t work for him anymore. Not after what he did to me. I haven’t worked for him in a long time.” [She runs a hand through her icing, putting a friendly smile on her face.] “I know who you are, Burning Spice Cookie. Why are you here?”

[Yeah, he’s gonna be her friend. He doesn’t have a choice. :3]

He tilts his head slightly. Eyes narrowing. He snorts.

“A little birdie told me that there’s a new soul jam wielder. Naturally I had to check it out after ripping their wings off. Ah the screams are such a thrilling experience.”

He points his axe at her.

“You do not seem like much however. Though you have a whole soul jam so you MUST be powerful.”

“…figures.” [Toffee giggles.] “C’mon, let’s go talk at the diner!”

[Up he goes! She holds the MUCH larger cookie over her head, carrying him off to the diner. They’re having soft tacos!]

“I’m Toffee Apple Cookie! I used to work for Shadow Milk Cookie before he betrayed me…but I changed! Now I live here, haha!”

WHAT. He blinks wildly. Confused as all hell. Why is she- huh? Ok then. He has half a mind to struggle and try to get away from her before begrudgingly huffing, arms crossed.

“I did not ask. But sure. You changed. In this endless cycle you will have a chance to going back to what you were. Maybe even become worse.”

They blink violently, she gets up and sorta rushes to their front door, opening it. How. Where. Why.

It was a large horse, standing well over five feet tall, very muscular… with a black coat. And a very familiar, wavy, black, dusty mane

What. She looks up, eyes a little wide before pausing. Wait a minute. Where’s….

Her brows furrow. Looking around the large creature. Where were they?!

“Pepper!? Where’s.. Where’s Silent Salt…?”

The horse snorts at her before turning away, as if asking her to follow

Ah. Ok then. Lily quickly grabs her staff from the door before following after. Where was this horse taking them.

Pepper takes Lily just behind her home (whatever it may be) to find… a hooded vagabond in a black tattered cloak with a large pack of sorts. Just resting there, and not moving

What. White Lily blinks as she approaches.

“Salt..?” Were they ok? Was that him? Had to be- I mean this was Pepper-

No response.

Pepper seems visably anxious

Well this stinks. She goes up to them and gently shakes the other.

“Salt are you ok? Hello? Earthbread to Silent Salt?”

They just flop on the ground… they were unconscious and sweating profusely.

Witches. She sighs heavily, hoisting them over her shoulders. Alright guess she’s taking him with her. Walking back to her home with a deep sigh.

“You are heavy, Salt. What even happened.”

Rhetorical, since she’s not expecting a response.

Salt mumbles something unintelligible

As Pepper attempts to follow Lily and Salt into the house despite being a giant horse

“Pepper you can’t- hold on-“

She sets Salt on her couch, laying them down before looping out to have Pepper follow to the back where the window is. Honse stick head through window.

Silent salt cookie is shivering despite the sweat

(They are feverish)

Ok so. She paces around a little, grabbing some blankets, pillows and trying to prop him up. Also grabbing herbs and a bucket of cold water. Ghh what did they DO? She sits in a chair, mostly trying to get the other comfortable.

Salt is still unconscious, but there is a noticeably foul smell emanating from one of their legs

Elder Faerie points his gladius at Shadow Milk’s chest, above where the others heart would be, eyes narrowed. He stands very rigid, mostly hadn’t expected to stumble upon the jester like this nor at all. So he was caught relatively off guard.

The blue cookie groans, they didn’t want to deal with the Fae today.. they pushed the blade to the side with their cane and floated, looking at them upside down.

“Bleh.. you looked ugly before, you’re worse from upside down! HAH!” They jingled and kicked their feet. “Come on big bug. You don’t gotta look so angreyyy all the time~!” They teased, wanting a reaction.

His expression goes from mild shock to very slight annoyance. Then just flat and blank.

“I would say what are you doing here but considering I ran into you I do not have the right to ask that.”

He huffs, squinting.

The deceitful beast’s voice drops an octave. “Yeah. You don’t.” Before perking right back up. “Besides~, this isn’t the tree anymore.. this is my spire~!”

He floated a bit away before sitting on the stairs and crossing their legs. “Say.., how ‘bout a game? Simple, childish, cookie game?”

Ok now he knew he really got lost. He wasn’t even seeking the beast out.

“What kind of game.”

He doesn’t know if he likes the sound of it… arms crossed slightly as his wings flutter behind him, full mast and full attention.

The faerie kingdom. somehow he ended up here. The fount knew how bad he was at directions but to the point of arriving here......even the fount would consider learning portal magic at this rate despite the pain.

He sighed, leaning to a tree. He intends to turn back after all

Elder Faerie had been doing his rounds when he sort of just stops short. What.

He sort of just stares at the other with a hum. Squinting slightly.

“.. you…”

Then he was caught, great. This was not idealistic for him. In response, he tries to hide

Oh no you don’t! Elder Faerie grabs the other by the collar gently yet firmly.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

” Far away from you?” The fount didn’t want to deal with this at all

He sighs softly.

“You can’t just pretend like you didn’t see me.”

He squints at the other.

“… what brings you here?”

”…..and why should I tell you?” He is not revealing it, he has his pride. The fount will not survive the humiliation that his sense of direction somehow gotten worse than before

“You are in my home, technically speaking while you do not owe me an explanation. You are knee deep in my home that should not be revealed unless willed by another faerie.”

He gently sets the other down, eyes narrowed. Not sure how to feel about the other exactly. Was it rage? Distrust? Anger? Disgust?

… longing? He couldn’t tell.

“Whom would I tell it to? This is my kingdom. I am under no obligation to inform anyone of visitors.”
