Posting their colored designs cuz I’m about to dump a bunch of art of old art of these two in a bit 😭😭
Naoto is a Russian blue and chie is a shiba. Naoto’s design uses fog + clouds covering the moon to symbolize mystery n whatnot.. and chies just a basic shiba with stars. My creative juices just ran out after designing naoto... I’m not, like, the best designer/colorer (?) in the world but I like her design :3c I don’t do much furry art now but they filled my niche at the time…

What if Hisuian lilligant for Chie…
WAIT YES!! Id see her evolving the pre-evo to this mon after her shadow fight? Maybe during her s.link since it’s pretty feminine despite being a fighting type, and I think it’d help her come to terms with the fact that someone can be feminine and strong. I also think this is a pretty funny coincidence since I gave yukiko a regular lilligant, so maybe they caught petilils as kids hoping to get the original form?
I also like to think if her fighting types learned kicking moves she’d try to learn them too and get strong alongside them, kinda like Bea (swsh) and Korrina (XY)
Thinking of a persona 4 x pokèmon au.. just mostly to doodle I’m not sure if I’d make a story out of it, but I’ve been crafting some team ideas
> Chie’s team would be something like lopunny and blaziken for sure, maybe a hisuian growlithe? Struggling on what ice type to give her,, possibly a mamoswine? Vanillite? Galarian darukama? And not used in battle but an old stoutland to represent her dog, Muku
> Naoto’s team would be Ledian (looks most like her persona, plus I like to think she has an affinity for bugs in general), male meowstic, herdier, inteleon, and possibly a sigilyph or metagross?
> Yu’s would be something kinda cool/emotion related pokèmon like gallade, togekiss, dragonite, possibly lucario (I see this pkm working for most of the IT tbh..)?, a shiny eevee (looks like him + the gigantimax one that can’t evolve to represent him being a wildcard). I see his team being changed frequently depending on the dungeon/player choice.
> Yosuke would have a Scrafty/Bisharp (either/or, maybe both?) , Absol, Braviary, maybe greninja? He’s still in the works..
> Kanji would have a Granbull (and I’ll die on this hill), Raichu, Electivire, Bewear, Levanny.. maybe a wigglytuff?
> Rise would have a Jigglypuff, Espeon, Indeedee(Female), Swoobat, Primarina/Brionne
> Yukiko would have Indeedee(Female), Lilligant, sensu style Oricorio, flareon
And for funsies… Nanako would have a togepi/togetic that Yu caught and uses that he lets her play with, possibly leaving it with her when he leaves inaba. I can also see an azurill, alcremie/fidough, and teddiursa as well.
I’ll be writing more of this in a bit. I have SO many ideas for this and why I picked certain mons. I also have to think a bit more for Teddie’s team…

yeah ok im thinking about lesbians. naoto having a crush on chie is the most correct and awesome idea i have ever conceived because imagine you've been struggling to be happy when you're a woman and are almost entirely convinced that women are not made to be happy but then you meet, gasp, a girl who is happy in her own body and isn't even following conventional gender roles??? she's breaking your conservative brain in all possible ways
she says she wants to be part of the police force, like you, some day. she's going to go in there looking like that? you want to laugh at her, but she's so genuine that you're afraid of hurting her feelings. why? it's always been about you. you've always been fighting for yourself in this world.
maybe it's because she's got that same firey determination you used to have. she talks about all the different adventures she wants to go on as soon as she's an adult, and they're all the same ones you imagined yourself on. she's about your age, but she's so much stronger than you. braver than you. she's a girl and she's not ashamed of it. she's so rugged, not at all prim and proper like girls are expected to be, but you still find yourself seeing her as beautiful.
she's going to go places, you can tell. and you want to go with her.
