Fandom is so different now and it’s becoming un-fun with how quickly shit moves.

I just want to enjoy things. I don’t want to have to play a game of Artist-Race that seems to be afoot lately.

Ya’ll eat up fandoms, leave artists and writers bone dry and then move on so fucking quickly then fucking wonder where all the Good Fandom Stuff is.

Idk Maybe cherish some things for longer. Reblog stuff. Interact with people. Comment and share.

I really miss the fandom!” is a brand new thing apparently and i need the newbies in fandom to understand that it was never like this. in fact i didn’t start seeing that mindset until last year and i’ve been in fandom since roughly my preteen years. it’s pretty bad and ive been seeing this happen to A Lot of different kinds of fandoms (tv shows, movies, comics, ect).

marie kondo your fandom experience. “You are not choosing what to discard but rather choosing to keep only the items that speak to your heart.” so if your fandom still brings you joy but hey the show ended, hang out and keep it until you are naturally ready to thank it and set it aside. dont discard it for the sake of What’s Next or follow the Fandom Migration because everyone else is (which by all means, please look at new fandoms and enjoy what’s out there, i’m not saying DON’T move on).

just. slow down lol. fandom doesn’t have to move this fast, and the better things about fandom take time. sit down and stay a while, hang out with your friends and look at some art and fic.
