I met her when I was 10 days old, and him in kindergarten. Now theyāre married and Iām the happiest maid of honor ever. Congratulations @britmaack and Ben!
Finding Friends
This has been the hardest part about moving. I donāt really know anybody here and as a 25 year old making friends isnāt easy and never was. I never had many girlfriends and was hurt in the past. Hence the not having many friends. On my junior high graduation day they told me they were doing things with families and couldnāt come to dinner. As fate would have it, my parents and I sat for dinner at the restaurant only to see all of them laughing and talking as they walked by. They didnāt even notice I was there, I had to confront them myself. It did not end well and has definitely left an emotional scar. Trusting other women to not betray me as they did has been an issue of mine since I lost all my friends. Taylor has always been my friend though and she came just in time. I was never more alone than when all my friends betrayed me in a cruel way - I guess they never were my friends. Then I heard music I could really relate to, a girlfriend I really needed. Taylor Swift. I grew up with her as my best friend even though we never met. Someone I could relate to, dance to and never feel alone. The 1989 era of Taylor has taught me that I can actually trust girls again. That having girlfriends is empowering. She makes me want a good group of girlfriends for the first time in ten years. Thatās the greatest gift of all. After a decade or so I finally got to see her LIVE! I went alone but she didnāt make me feel alone, neither did the fans around me. This was the 1989 tour. Still I havenāt met her but I listen every day and she inspires me all the time. I hope to find my girlfriend soulmates here in DC @taylorswift @taylornationonline Wish me luck ā¤ļø

Looking back on the highlights of my life, thereās a moment Iāll never forget from a day in London about two years ago. I was in town to play the O2 and I was out shopping on my day off. My friend Ed Sheeran met up with me in this little shop where I was buying ballet shoes. He walks in and says āyou have to hear this new song. I think itās the best one Iāve ever written.ā And then, as usual, he pulls out his phone and gives me headphones. I sat there on a bench in that store and heard āThinking Out Loudā for the first time, as little kids were picking out tutus and leotards next to us. Little did we know it would go on to be first dance song at countless weddings all over the world, become Edās biggest hit, and eventually go on to win him Song of the Year at the 2016 Grammys. Ed and I had been on tour together all year on the Red Tour and we saw each other almost every day. I lived for the moments he would burst into my dressing room with a new song to play me. It happened so often that it became normal, and I donāt think he ever knew how much it meant to me that he wanted me to hear his songs first. I donāt think he ever knew how inspired I was by his drive and passion to constantly create new art. But itās his 25th birthday today, so Iām saying it now. You deserve everything you have, and everything you will continue to achieve, Ed.
