Stop Sexualizing Minors/The Actors

It's all over this site, Reddit, Instagram and TikTok edits. Literally stop - sexualizing the characters in the show is one things because they are literally minors - gross! But also the amount of edits I've seen sexualizing Kit Connor is absolutely disgusting they are literally kids I don't care if they are "legal. The fandom should take responsibility and be ashamed of themselves. They are children, not some fun guilty pleasure to gush over, fetishize, or post pictures/POV's romanticizing them or editing them in a sexual manner. Just nope. Stop.

Not to mention the fact that at least Kit specifically has mentioned how he is uncomfortable with being sexualized - especially with shirtless photos. Like actually what is wrong with you.

--- side note sexualizing doesn't always mean outright sexualizing - I actually can't count the amount of times I've seen people analyzing the kissing scenes, talking about how attractive or hot some actors are, and just overall viewing/discussing the actors in a manner that would be uncomfortable if you said it to their face in real life

Unless they are doing a split season like skam es with viri and Nora (Kieu My x Ava) I feel like next season has to be Ava just because she’s the only one so far with plot lines that have to be from her perspective. Also she has OG Nora energy (independent/feminist kind of character) where S5 Nora was kind of a combination of lonely Eva and the Even season/mi we never got from Druck - if they are following the framework of the OG. Also.... (I’m venting now) the end of this season with Nora and Josh reminded me so much of Eva x Jonas break up so that’s what’s making me think they are following a loose plot line of the OG which personally I would not mind at all.

druck seriously needs to start putting trigger warnings at the start of clips/episodes because including a hotline in the description is not nearly enough to prepare you for some of the stuff they handle. I just watched season 2 episode 8 for the first time with that panic attack scene and literally everything else bc that episode was so chaotic but it made me feel sick to my stomach. Same with the most recent clip.

Honestly I’ve been thinking and even though we don’t now Noras MI specifically what a great time to address this especially during a pandemic and I’ve been hearing so many jokes about “disassociating” well this is an example of what that reality can actually be for some people. To show this to a bunch of teenagers during such an isolating and devastating time - sending a message that you don’t have to go through this alone and that you are not alone in feeling this but also showing how it’s not ok/normal/healthy to feel like this all the time is really powerful.
