I know Donelan's joke here is that straight people try to set gay people up with each other despite having nothing in common, but I'm rooting for them so hard. I want them to have an uneasy friendship and then turn out to be unexpectedly compatible. I want the preppy guy to teach the leather guy how to play croquet and the leather guy to quiz the preppy guy on the hanky code. I want them to rub off on each other to the extent that the preppy guy gets an edgy haircut and piercings and the leather guy introduces color into his own wardrobe. I see the vision!
