I love the attention my art gets, and seeing it liked and reblogged tells me that people ARE enjoying it, which is awesome. However, I miss desperately when people used to write in the notes how the art made them feel, what they thought about it. I miss unhinged funny comments, heartfelt ones, even crude ones. I miss when people did more than passively interacting.
I share my art for building a community. I share out there to hear input and commentary about it. Again, super grateful, I just think we shouldn't stop doing that. It's what drives people to create; to write, to draw, to edit.
Don't let communities die, guys.
