So...hi!

It’s been almost 3 years since this blog was active, and I’m still trying to figure out what to say right now. I guess what this post will be is a general update with a question at the end. First, the biggest reason I stayed away wasn’t a decrease in love for Free! but more that after I took a hiatus a few years ago, I noticed a decrease in activity/popularity with scenario blogs. I thought it might be time to let this one quietly fade, but then kinda forgot to come back and make it official. Or maybe I just wasn’t ever ready to completely let go. I’m not sure. Either way, I’m sorry about that. But earlier this evening, I got a message over on my personal blog from someone who said they’d recently come across this blog, and they were so sweet that I wanted to come check in here. And I was honestly surprised to find some very sweet messages that’d be left while I was away! I do plan to answer those, but it’s already 1am so that might be a tomorrow thing. As far as a more personal update goes, I’m doing better than when I left. I felt very overwhelmed and stressed back then and it was putting me in a bad place, but mentally and emotionally, I’ve been making some strides these last few years and am just generally doing much better. It’s been a bit of a trade-off though lol for most of the past year, I’ve had some physical health problems that still haven’t been able to be treated effectively. But I’m okay! One day at a time and all that~~ In my time away, I’ve found so many new fandoms and gotten into so many new things! I still write, I still love to read, I’ve gotten more into video games, and I’m still neck deep in sports anime hell and anime in general. I taught myself how to knit and I’ll be moving at some point in the coming year (between now and mid-summer). But now, my big question for you guys is this: 

Do you want this blog to come back and be active again? Or should I wrap things up and leave it as an archive?

If I come back, this blog will need (and get) a makeover and some general cleaning up, but I’ll only come back if there’s interest. And I’m not saying that to put pressure on anyone. As much fun as I had here, I did it for my readers. For you guys! So if you want it, I’ll dust it off and come back. But fair warning: things might be a little different. Updates would probably be at a more relaxed pace, at the very least. If you’re content to leave things as they are and just come visit from time to time for nostalgia, that’s totally fine too! Either way, the blog won’t be in hiatus limbo anymore. Let me know what you think in the replies or an ask or a DM. Also, if you ever need or want to, I’m easier to reach on my main blog (which is what I stay logged in as on mobile) @howdoidemi

So...

I’ve done this before, and as usual have put it off because I hate doing it. But you guys don’t deserve to just be left in the dark. I haven’t been very active lately, and I don’t know that this is going to change anytime soon. So I’m officially going on hiatus for a while. There have been a lot of ups and downs lately, and I’m not in a place where I can write right now. I know some of you run your own imagine blogs, but for those of you that don’t and might not know, it can feel very stressful at times. Not only can you feel a sort of duty to your followers, but there are certain pressures and expectations that come along with it too. And that’s just not something that I can handle right now. That’s one reason I’m going to take a step back for a while. A lot of it might be (and probably is) just in my head, but I have to reduce my stress for a while. I’ll still be lurking around this blog and semi-active on my personal (about as active as I usually am, I guess), so I can still be contacted here or there via ask or message. I’m very sorry for this. I always absolutely hate doing it. But I just can’t do this right now and wanted to let you guys know what was happening. Until I’m back, I wish all of you health and happiness! And thank you for your patience and understanding. -Demi

Happy New Year, lovelies!

It's a little after midnight where I am, and I want to wish all of you a safe, happy, and healthy new year. You're amazing and awesome and deserve everything great and wonderful in 2016! Also, a very special thank you to everyone who talked with me and sent me incredibly sweet messages a few days ago. There were a good many of you (some of whom I haven't gotten back to just yet, very sorry), and I was incredibly touched by each of you.

remedies for the sads?

One, I’m still sitting on those prompt requests. I just had less time at Christmas than anticipated. They’ll be done. They’ll be late, but they’ll be done. Two, does anyone have any good pick-me-up remedies? I know it’s late (or not, I don’t know where you live), but I feel awful. It was a good day (a date day with the s/o), but my mood tanked almost as soon as he left. I feel so empty and hollow. I ran out of energy before I even reached my bed, so instead I just laid down in the floor and cried. Then my dog came and pressed his head to my chest and I cried even more. So now I’m physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted, my face is puffy, and my eyes are almost swollen shut. I finally made it to the bed though. So...what do you guys do to cheer yourselves up? Something easy and quiet since it’s late at night and I’m very tired?

And a very Merry Christmas to you too, Rei buddy!Why in the world had they decided to all put up and decorate a tree together? How had be been talked into this? It was chaos. That was the only way to describe it.With so many personalities and opinions, nothing on the tree was coordinated, nothing matched, nothing was even, and nothing was balanced. And speaking of balance…“Don’t hang that there! Are you crazy?!” Rei fussed at his partner, unable to hold it in any longer.Turning to face him with a small huff, they carefully twisted around from where they stood on the ladder and held up the ornament they were trying to hang. “Well then where do you think I should hang it?”“Just a moment,” Rei sighed as he went to circle the tree once. Maybe, with a little luck and a lot of rearranging, he could get the tree back in order. Or at least as close to order as it would likely ever be.“Rei?” He heard his partner call from where they still stood on the ladder. “If you can’t find a place, I’m just going to hang it where I had it. Oh! Wait a minute. I think I found a better spot.”Rei was walking back around the tree to inspect the so-called “better spot” when he nearly had a heart attack. There was his precious partner leaning off the side of the ladder to reach the spot they wanted, and from where he was, he could see the legs of the opposite side of the ladder starting to come off the ground. Rei rushed forward just before the ladder reached its tipping point and managed to anchor it with one hand while the other arm wrapped around his partner’s waist to keep them stable.“Rei?!” They yelled, more than a little startled. But when he didn’t immediately answer and only squeezed them tighter, they reached a hand up to stroke the top of his head. “Are you okay?”Sighing out his frazzled nerves, and probably a few years of his life along with them, Rei nodded against their stomach, skewing his glasses. He wasn’t quite ready to let go yet, not completely convinced they still wouldn’t fall off the ladder. “Hang the ornament wherever you want,” he finally told them. After all, some things were more important than a perfectly decorated tree.

“This is the best Christmas I’ve ever had in my entire life...” (Rin's girlfriend tells him this while resting together, after celebrating Christmas with Russell and Lori. She went to Australia to meet Russell and Lori for the first time).

It had been a long and busy day, but they’d both had fun.The day had been spent with Rin’s extended family in Australia, Russell and Lori still being very important people in his life and Rin wanting his girlfriend to finally meet them. When he’d gotten the invitation in the mail, Christmas had seemed like the perfect time to make the introduction. They’d arrived to a warm welcome with tight hugs and excited smiles, and even though Rin was a little embarrassed at the fuss Lori was making, he wouldn’t have changed anything.There had been food and games and gifts, and now that Rin had finished helping Lori clean up in the kitchen, he sat next to his girlfriend on the couch and practically melted into the old, familiar cushions. When he felt warmth cuddle up next to his side, he slipped an arm around his girlfriend’s shoulders and was perfectly content to close his eyes and take a little nap right there.He was just on the edge of dozing when he heard a voice beside him softly say, “This is the best Christmas I’ve ever had in my entire life.”Opening his eyes to look down at the relaxed face of his girlfriend, who was also about to slip into a nap, Rin smiled and kissed her forehead before pulling her a little closer and answering, “Me too.”

A Merry Christmas to you too, sweetness!“Oh my gosh, it’s snowing!” You announced as you pressed closer to the window, fogging the glass with your breath.“Really?” Sousuke asked as he came to check. “The weather said it would be too warm for snow.”You watched the little flurries float to the ground and stick to the edges of the window as you smiled. “Well, it looks like the report was wrong.” Pushing away from your spot by the glass, you tugged on Sousuke’s arm and said, “C’mon!”“Where are we going?”“For a walk!” You told him as you grabbed both of your jackets along with a couple of scarves and hats. As you helped him get dressed, you also listened to Sousuke’s complaints.“But it’s snowing.”“Which is why we’re going for a walk. So we can enjoy it.”“But if it’s snowing, that means it’s cold.”“That’s usually how it works.”“I don’t really like the cold.”You’d just tugged a knitted hat over Sousuke’s ears as you looked him in eyes and smiled. Finding his hands with yours and slipping them into the pockets of your jacket, you said, “I guess I’ll just have to find ways to keep you warm.”

Happy Holidays! For the Christmas starters I'd like to request SouRin with “Okay, who spiked the eggnog?!” (specifically Rin discovering/drinking the eggnog)

Happy Holidays, anon! Not sure if this is exactly what you were looking for, but I hope you like it!Filling his cup with frothy eggnog, Rin was a little glad that this was the last Christmas party they’d agreed to go to. He was getting a little burned out on the same parties over and over and was just ready for Christmas. He’d admit though, as he sipped at his drink, this party definitely had the best eggnog yet. Maybe he’d ask for the recipe.Several cups later, Sousuke was wondering what in the world had gotten into Rin. He hadn’t even wanted to come to this party, but now he was downright chatty with everyone.“Sousuke!” Rin called from across the room. “Come tell them about the thing!”“What thing?” Sousuke asked as he walked over the the small group Rin had been talking with.“You know,” Rin tried to lead. “The thing you were telling me about the other day.”Sousuke frowned. Something was definitely off. Aside from Rin turning into the party’s social butterfly, his eyes were glazed and there was a hint of a flush to his cheeks. “Let me have a sip of your drink,” he coaxed the cup out of Rin’s hand before testing it himself. Eyes going wide, Sousuke looked between the cup and Rin as he asked, “How many of these have you had?”Rin shrugged lazily in about as non-specific of an answer as he could give, and Sousuke sighed. He’d tried the eggnog not long after they arrived at the party, and it had not tasted like this. “Who spiked the eggnog?!” He asked the room loudly, more than a little annoyed that he now had a drunk Rin to take care of.“Shhh,” Rin shushed him while he stepped closer and patted his shoulder. “Indoor voice, Sousuke. You shouldn’t yell. Your voice carries.”“Rin,” Sousuke mumbled as he reached up to rub at his eyes. He could already feel a headache starting. But he really did have to try not to yell when a hand suddenly slipped into his back pocket and squeezed. Startled, he whipped around to look at Rin only to see Rin grinning up at him in a way that could only be described a saucy. ‘He is really drunk,’ Sousuke thought.“Merry Christmas, Sousuke,” Rin managed with only a slight slur before giving the cheek in his hand another firm squeeze.

Okay, since I was redoing the post anyway, I edited the format a little and changed a couple of words to make things more gender neutral. How this will work: Send in a character and a sentence! The scenario can either revolve around character/reader or character/character, just let me know if you want something specific! If reader is involved, things will be gender neutral unless otherwise requested :)

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up! I honestly have no idea exactly what time I’ll be posting the thing because I plan on sleeping in for the first time in a good while. So just keep an eye out and we’ll have some holiday fun~

I finally got everything for my cousin’s gift finished! I bought the cup and the little bags, but I made everything else :) The stands of glass pearls were strung by hand with each bread separated by a single knot (which took forever given how long they are; 100+ beads on each necklace). And then I’ve already posted about the rose rings. But I’m so happy to have this finished! One less thing to stress about :) (except for the general anxiety of whether or not she’ll like everything lol)

Yes omg I'm all for the rose rings (and maybe bow rings and skull rings if you're up for these). I'd totally buy them. I love it when things are color-coded lol

I'm glad you like them! I'll likely add them to my shop after the holidays, once I have a little more free time :) And I could probably work up some bow and skull designs for new rings. But again, that'll have to wait until sometime after the holidays. Christmas preparations are keeping me busy!

The rose rings I made as part of my Christmas gift to my cousin. I actually like these and think they turned out pretty well! I might add them to my shop later. (The rings are size adjustable with a base size of 7, I just wore them high on my fingers because I have fat fingers lol)

Thanks! It’s all polymer clay. About 3" long & 2" wide. It has 2 metal buttons on the back so it can be pinned to things.
