i don't care what people say - natasha has always, and will always, be one of my favorite characters. as a kid, i didn't realize she was being sexualized in the movies, i just thought, "oh, she can fight!", "she doesn't need a man to save her!"
now that i'm older, i know better. but now we are getting female heroes (not many, let's be honest) who don't have to go through what natasha/scarlett did - they don't need revealing outfits, they can get dirty and bloody, and they don't have meaningless romance stories (sorry natbruce shippers).
now, we have characters like yelena, kate, kamala, sue, ghost, and others who can actually have a story line rather than being eye candy.
and that's why, no matter what the critics or misogynistic guys say, black widow is a favorite movie of mine.
