I just quantum leaped in the vortex of my Tumblr after 10 years and looking to investigate who i was back then. Posts of you appeared on my feed and i started digging who i was following. Your question if Tumblr is fun again got me. It´s definitely a way to evaluate past failures and victories. Haha. I am not aware of the elimination of the platform and its accounts. Is it true or rumours? Thanks, greetings from the future

Are you saying there are rumors that Tumblr is closing shop? I haven’t heard this but I’m also out of the loop. I don’t think it will, especially as Instagram continues to disappoint and TikTok could end up banned again.

That leaves a large number of people in search a platform to fill the void, and if I were the CEO of Tumblr (hire me, guys) I’d be promoting the fuck outa this this being the place for folks to flock to next.

I’m attaching an old post because I feel like this nutso hairstyle could come back any day now. Not to mention my profound thoughts.

I consume sapphic fiction like a monster, to the extent where my left eye constantly twitches.

While I love a good romance, the ones with the cartoon illustrated covers don’t really float my boat (those illustration artists really have a chokehold on the romance novel industry??)

That said, Our Wives Under The Sea was too abstract for me personally. I also didn’t know it was a body horror going into it and kept thinking to myself, “My god she really should go see a doctor!” lol

If you have a fan fic you highly recommend, I’m open to that, too.

The #BlackTransLivesMatter protest at the Brooklyn museum was profound. A great stage, inspiring orators, & a respectful crowd all wearing masks.

Free masks, hand sanitizer, sunblock and snacks were handed out by many.

We marched and shutdown Eastern Parkway and Atlantic Avenue, huge streets in Brooklyn, and people stuck in their cars sat cheering us on and playing music.

Tumblr is literally flagging their own content...

I've been following your blog for like 6 or more years I'm pretty sure, your content was very helpful to me being young and queer and trying to figure out how to present myself to the world so incase this whole website just implodes I wanted to say thank you for that haha

Hey this is really kind of you. Thank you. I’m glad that this could be a place you felt comfortable to interact with, share, connect, you are as much a part of this blog as I am.

Y’know it helped me a lot as well. When you’re very young and one of the only out lesbians in a high school of nearly 3,000 kids, it was hard to feel attractive or normal or any feeling beyond “otherness” and loneliness.

But I remember blogs like @fuckyeahdykes and @liquorinthefront showing me endless visuals of lesbians and queer women who looked like me, didn’t look like me, that I wanted to be like, that I found interesting, their lives, their love, and it inspired me to create this blog and showcase more lesbians, myself, my life, and have discussions here that gave me a place to feel very much myself.

That ended up translating in the real world outside Tumblr and I’m very thankful for the friends, connections, conversations, and all the endless lesbian content I was able to enjoy here.
