Souji couldn’t help but laugh at the other’s reaction, wrapping his arms around his middle as he did so. He only laughed louder as the other shouted at him directly!

“Ahahahaa! Your reaction was priceless Heisuke! AAaaah you should really pay attention to your surroundings more~”

“Ugh!! I was worried I had missed dinner but you didn’t need to do that!” he cursed under his breath and glared at Souji “Stop laughing!” damn it, this wasn’t funny at all.

“So, did you have dinner or not?” he questioned with a pout and narrowed eyes looking rather done.

He had fallen asleep in the bushes completely by accident. As his mistress had utterly neglected to allocate campaign funds, Mikazuki had found himself without a place to stay the night. Were it winter, he would have even thought to go through measures as drastic as selling his rather magnificent kimono to pay for an inn room, but in the warm air of summer, sleeping under the stars was perfectly acceptable–except he had been caught? The other’s alarmed voice roused him completely and he sat up with a groggy blink. Sticks, leaves, and a lone caterpillar adorned his hair as if he were the manifestation of some strange forest god. Or perhaps a homeless vagrant sleeping in bushes. 

“I am quite sorry, my lord… was I intruding?”  

  Heisuke stared in shock at the other man. He was dressed in a very expensive kimonio but his state...wasn’t the best. Damn, was that a caterpillar? He almost chuckled but then shook his head.

“Uh sorry, I thought it may have been an enemy so I snapped...are you okay, man? Also I am nowhere close to being called a Lord, you look more like one..if we don’t count the caterpillar..”
