Just noticed while comparing Chizuru’s kimono color with the cg that it’s not entirely yellow but half pink.
I’m not good at drawing kids. They usually become a cursed chibi or something so I decided to hide their faces. Surprisingly, it makes the whole scene looks much better. Weak point isn’t so weak after all!

Soooooo, yeah, both of them have a rough childhood. Okita lost his parents. Abandoned by his sister. Got bullied by older kids. Living on his own with no one to trust. While Chizuru also lost her family. Has Amnesia. Got bullied by the her friends in the neighborhood. By the time they haven’t even reach 10 yrs old. Evenso, they still stand strong and finally meet each other.
At first, the first pic, I only focus on the gloomy little Souji so I blindly draw a bitter expression on Chizuru’s face. But then I felt wrong. Rather than feeling sorry, she must be glad how strong he is and how much he has change. Same goes to Okita.
I’m not saying if they say something or stay silence, I didn’t care much about words. However, while drawing, I have their grown up voices saying “You did well, Souji-san/Chizuru” in my mind idk.
