This just broke my heart even more. He was a fucking baby. A BABY. I swear every single person who tries to justify his murder deserves every horrible thing in life to happen to them. Swear on everything, bruh. These pigs will take hours to talk down a middle aged white man shooting a gun in a park full of kids and bring in a team to disarm him, but the black kid on swings with a BB gun was a threat and deserved to die because they were scared for their lives…oh…okay.

According to the president of the police in Cleveland, the officers weren't told about the possibility of the gun being fake. The orange tip that indicated it was fake was removed, and Rice had pulled the gun out when he was told to put it down. Please make note of that before spreading that through Tumblr to people who might not know the details to the story. I personally live in the area, and my mother saw Rice intubated in the hospital before going up to surgery. I've seen all of the news stories since it happened Saturday, while many might have only seen this post.

Nonetheless, the policeman definitely shouldn't have shot to kill. Law enforcement should definitely shoot to maim instead of killing in situations like these (and many of the other situations that have been in the media recently), and NEED to be taught this instead of what they're doing now. But, in this case, it wasn't just a kid swinging on the swings with a plastic gun as implied in the other comments. The officers were shooting in self defense, though I'm definitely not advocating for how they did it. Please get the facts straight and clear before spreading such vague information.
