it’s summer and it’s getting very hot right now. please stay hydrated; drink water and keep cool. take baths and showers and eat cool foods. rest and don’t do too much. your health is important. stay inside with a fan on. yes, you can have fun while inside. make popsicles, eat ice cream, colour! you can have the best time

What is age/pet dreaming? I’ve heard about regressing but I’ve never heard of dreaming :)
so, as we know, regressing is reverting to the mind of a child/animal. age/pet dreaming however is doing things you’d do while small, but still being in your regular headspace. for example; you may play with stuffies, colour, use a paci etc, yet you’ll not actually be regressed in that time!
you may cry, throw tantrums, self harm, have bad thoughts etc. regression isn’t all sunshine and rainbows and that is okay.
ways to deal with it / distraction techniques ::
keeping your hands busy : doodle, draw, colour, bake / cook, play an instrument, play a game, type up a story, write in your journal. etc.
keeping your mind busy : watch a cartoon, watch a movie, try and solve riddles, learn how to count, listen to music, sleep. etc.
keeping your body busy : have a bath and watch a movie while in the bath, go swimming, go to the park, go for a walk / run, have a dance party, have a tea party, play pretend. etc.
reminders ::
you ARE allowed to eat. your tummy isn’t too big. it’s extremely important, darling. it keeps super duper important organs safe, and food gives you fuel to look after yourself! your tummy is beautiful, you should embrace it.
brushing your little teefs is hard, i know darling, but you gotta keep em clean! you don’t even have to do it for a full two minutes, just touch each tooth at least once with the toothbrush and you can be done! and if you’re really struggling today, why not just gargle some mouthwash, yeah?
you gotta wash your pretty self! i know showers and baths are difficult, but you’ll feel so much more refreshed afterwards, i’m sure of it! and if you want, we can use a super soft rag / sponge and you can pick the scent and how many bubbles you’d like! you can be mama’s little bubble monster!
can you drink some water for me? i know, other drinks are so much nicer, but we can add some flavouring, yeah? or even dilute some juice, hm? then you can be all hydrated and still have something yummy to drink!
you’re important. despite what your head tells you, little one. you are wanted and needed and loved. you always will be, despite what you’ve been through. you’re an incredible little baby.

easter is coming up so here are some ideas for activities, arts and crafts, care packages etc.
arts & crafts:
decorate an easter egg tree - decorate a tree (indoors or outside, depending on the weather) with plastic easter eggs and any other spring decor (such as pastel ribbons or tissue paper flowers)
easter bingo - there are tons of free printable easter bingo cards that you can find online and players can use some delicious jelly beans and other sweet easter goodies to mark the squares that they get throughout the game. finally, have an array of prizes that you will enjoy !
build peep houses - peeps are adorable marshmallow snacks that make their way into easter baskets every year. once opened, they need a place to go! grab some graham crackers, frosting, jelly beans, and leftover easter candy to build your chicks and bunnies a little home
make a spring time wreath - head to your local craft store and grab a basic wreath frame or styrofoam ring along with your preferred decor. this can range from faux floral pieces, eggs, pom poms, ribbon, or anything else you see fit. this DIY craft is quite easy to complete, but there are lots of online tutorials to walk you through the steps as well
create a homemade easter basket - this only requires yarn, glue, water, and an inflated balloon! simply combine glue and water in a disposable bowl. coat the yarn in the mixture and then wrap it around the balloon. let it dry overnight then, pop the balloon and remove the deflated pieces from the hardened yarn. finally, press the top of your egg-shaped figurine inward to create your basket!
easter egg hunt - egg hunts aren't all about chocolates and coins. gill half of the plastic eggs with fun challenges (think: quack like a duck). you can give fun clues and riddles as to where the eggs are!
egg bowling -iIf you have a smooth, flat surface in your house or patio, you can try rolling eggs in a traditional bowling game and try to knock down empty water bottles. or you can go for a game of precision, challenging players to see if they can get closest to a marker (in this case, the plain, white egg)
easter egg advent calendar - christmas gets a fun countdown, so why not easter? your little can start counting down the days until easter sunday with these confetti-filled eggs. each egg contains a slip of paper with a fun activity or reward (like staying up past bedtime)
jelly bean colour match - perfect for toddlers, this game encourages colour recognition. just make sure they don't eat the jellybeans before they finish!
“come on little one ! let’s lay down our picnic blanket and set out a food, hm?” my baby giggles and nods, helping me set down the blanket and basket. taking out the plates of hello kitty sandwiches, fruit snacks, cookies, and all their favourite foods. we take out their sippy cup and favourite juice, along with their stuffies and colouring books. “open up my sweet!” they open their mouth slightly “aah”. i smile, placing a sandwich into their mouth. “om nom nom” they murmur while chewing their food. “yummy?” they nod happily and giggle, colouring in their book with crayons. “angel, look!” they gasp, watching the bees and butterflies fly around us. “bzzz” they copy the sound of the bee, giggling. “that’s right baby! bees go buzz!”
giggling, they look at me, telling me to open my mouth as they place a strawberry into it. “nom nom mama!” i smile, chewing my food. “good mama!” i point to the grass, pulling my little one onto my lap. “what colour is the grass, baby?” they lean forward, taking a closer look. “mmm gween!” i gasp and clap my hands. “such a smart little angel!” the squeal and squirm, clapping their hands. “mama ! catch me if chu cans!” getting up, they run off, causing me to follow them. “i’m gonna getchu!” the squeal loudly, laughing when i wrap my arms around them. “m loves chu mama!” i smile and kiss their forehead, “i love you too, pretty thing.”
