An Interview || Zachary & James
@sxpermanspal
Interviews were a necessity in the showbiz world, be they talkshow, magazine, newspaper or (unfortunately) radio, they only helped make a performer. Zach had taken part in too many interviews to count, and this one, to further promote himself and his club would just be one more added to the pile. It was daytime, and the club was empty. But the band were warming up and going through a few pieces and the bartenders were practicing a few cocktails, so Zach supposed it would do for him to meet James Olson. He had a vague memory of the man, a few years ago from back when heâd been selling out in Metropolis, those memories werenât his favourite things to dwell on now.Â
So he waited, drink in hand at one of the tables, for his assistant, Bunny to show the man in and sit him down. When the other arrived Zach stood and shook his hand, âPleasure to see you again, James.â he said charmingly, after all, a performer always made good for the press.
Interviewing the owner of one of the the cityâs most highly regarded clubs would seem like nothing but a puff piece to anyone who hadnât been around during recent events. With the papers and such all referencing the gloom National City had been faced with, especially in light of the yet another âattackâ, if one could call it that. People needed something lighthearted to read, and RItualâs owner seemed like one of, if not the best option.
James wasnât hugely familiar with the younger man, but heâd seen clips online, attended a few shows while he was still in Metropolis, and taken photos for Clarkâs own interview with him, so it wasnât like he was completely clueless.
âLikewise, Zachary.â James bowed his head, getting a few things set up on the table after shaking the otherâs hand, âSorry again for booking you at such short notice.â Heâd apologized on the phone the night before as well, but transparency was important for trust with these situations.
