Davina  stood  just  inside  for  a  second,  dripping  rain  onto  the  floorboards,  hair  plastered  to  her  face  and  jacket  soaked  through  like  she’d  walked  straight  through  the  ocean  instead  of  a  street  in  Mystic  Hills.  Cold  clung  to  her  skin  in  sharp  waves,  fingers  stiff  as  she  pushed  damp  strands  out  of  her  eyes.

Someone  pressed  a  towel  into  her  hands.  She  blinked  once,  startled,  then  let  out  a  breath  that  was  almost  a  laugh  as  she  wrapped  it  around  her  shoulders.  The  fabric  did  little  to  fix  the  situation,  but  it  was  warm  enough  to  matter.

❝ ⸻ thanks ,❞ she  muttered,  squeezing  water  from  her  sleeves,  ❝ but I think I might need to change out of these ... I  officially  hate  storms  here ❞ Thunder  rolled  outside  like  an  answer. Davina  tightened  the  towel  around  herself  a  little  more,  finally  looking  up  into  the  room,  eyes  alert  despite  the  exhaustion.

Henrik saw the woman standing in the room, dripping water all over the place. He felt bad for her so he moved forward, grabbing a towel on his way before handing it to her. "No worries." He said to her, before letting out a sighed. "Yeah well, I don't know if the towel will be much help. You definitely need a change of clothes." Henrik ran a hand through his hair. "I can help you try and find something around here." He didn't know how good their chances would be of finding something but they could try.

The  wind  still  screamed  outside,  rain  hammering  the  windows  like  it  wanted  inside,  but  in  here  everything  had  settled  into  an  uneasy  stillness broken  only  by  the  occasional  creak  of  old  wood  and  the  low  flicker  of  emergency  candles  scattered  through  the  room.

Bonnie  had  stopped  pacing  a  while  ago.  Now  she  just  stood  there,  arms  folded  tight,  eyes  scanning  the  dark  corners  like  something  might  blink  back.  The  power  was  still  out.  No  phones.  No  signal.  No  easy  way  out  until  the  storm  eased. And  yet she  could  still  feel  it.  Not  the  storm.  Something  else  layered  underneath  it.  Waiting.  Bonnie  exhaled  slowly,  voice  low  as  she  finally  spoke  into  the  silence.

❝ ⸻ I  don’t  like  this. ❞

"That makes two of us." Vincent said, as he came to stand beside her, arms crossed over his chest. He had gone through enough to know that something like this wasn't normal, part of him wondered if it was the handy work of someone trying to harm the town in a way. Or maybe a way to distract everyone, to mask a bigger plan yet to come. Either way, Vincent didn't like it. "Have you tried looking for spells to ease the weather? We could try even though I doubt it will make any difference."

having been with the other witches and trying to figure out some sort of spell to put the weather at bay to no avail, she was getting frustrated. a sigh passed her lips and she took a bottle of water and went to sit away from everyone else, she needed a breather. she couldn't do this, hadn't perfected her spell yet. yet she was supposed to be some all powerful bennet-mikaelson witch. her thoughts stalled when she heard her name, the witch looked up at the other. ❝hmm?. ❞

Olivia noticed her cousin sitting alone, sipping on a bottle of water as she seemed to be lost in thought. She couldn't blame her, whatever was happening was making everyone worried. She didn't care, if she was being honest, it took more than just a storm to scare her. Usually she wouldn't approach someone like this, but if she was going to spend hours here surrounded by people, she might as well find ways to help pass the time. "Just asking if you're okay." She shrugged her shoulders. "Stupid question I know."

❝ ok, seriously. given what is going on we need to be focused on this. i am not planning your event or any event until this is over!❞ caroline huffed, turning away from the other and then back to the person she was originally talking to. ❝now. i think we should gather some water, blankets, food. all the necessities. ❞ and blood bags, but that one was more of a mental note for herself.

Vincent was just as worried about this as everyone else. The storm wasn't normal, it seemed like something done on purpose to hit the town. He wondered if witches could be behind it, if only he had his books with him so he could study it. But there was no way he was getting out of here and face that storm. "Alright, sounds like a good plan. How can I help?"

foot taps repeatedly, gaze cutting this way and that, taking in the storm through town hall's vast windows. the torrential downpour, the dark not-there maybe-there silhouettes beyond it all, illuminated by lightning and an overly paranoid imagination. the sort of imagination that a lifetime of, well, trauma has afforded him. mutter comes out rough, distracted, but there all the same: "anybody else feel like this is just the universe's answer to letting peter hale play mayor?"

Henrik was standing next to the other, looking out through the windows as well. He watched as the storm hit the town, seemingly having no pity on it. Water runs down the main road, winds making the trees dance in strange movements in the distance. And the lightning, making it seem like figures are standing and watching them from the treeline. "I'm assuming you did not vote for him then?" Henrik asked, turning his head to look at the other. "Whatever it might be, it's weird."

Vincent was born and raised in New Orleans. He's a former member of the Treme coven, which he eventually left because he didn't want to be apart of the supernatural world anymore. Although, he ended up getting dragged into all of it once again, when Finn Mikaelson took control of his body. He hated the Mikaelsons but ended up working alongside them a few times for a greater good, whenever they shared the same enemies. Vincent became a regent of the nine covens of New Orleans for a while too. Now he found himself stuck in Mystic Hills, along with his two children. He's a single father, the mother of his children died not long after the youngest was born. He started working as a teacher at the Mystic Hills Academy, settling down as well as he could in a new place. He's been wondering if he should step away from the supernatural again, try and live a normal life although he knows that would be hard to do in a place like this.

Henrik is the youngest child of Esther and Mikael. He was a witch even though at the time of his death, he hadn't tapped into his powers yet. Henrik was attacked and killed by a werewolf during a full moon, after having begged Klaus to take him to watch the men turn into wolves. It was his death that set the immortality spell in motion by Esther, which lead to the creation of the Original Vampires. Henrik was brought back to life by Esther a few years ago, when she first came back to life herself. He was sent to and lived in Europe with a coven of witches that his mother trusted, where he learned witchcraft and about the modern world they lived in. Henrik was supposed to come back to Mystic Falls when his mother dealt with his siblings but that never happened, since she ended up being killed. Without knowing what was happening, Henrik woke up in this town one day. He tried to leave but couldn't. While he tried to figure things out, he learned that his siblings were living here, with families of their own. Henrik ended up settling down and opening his own bookstore, although he has been keeping his identity hidden, not really sure how his siblings would react to him being back, since they killed his mother.

Olivia is the biological daughter of a couple who were leaders of a cult that practiced very dark magic. She was raised in that environment, with barely any contact with the outside world. Olivia was six years old when the cult was dismantled and her parents ended up dying during a fight. Everyone in the cult was dealt with, Olivia didn't have any family left so she ended up being adopted by Freya and Keelin. She enrolled in the Mystic Hills Academy where she was taught proper witchcraft although she always kept her interest in dark magic. Olivia was described as strange and detached since she was a young child, she never truly learned how to deal with her emotions or how to show feelings, mostly due to the way she was raised in the cult. She first started to feel what love and care was when she got taken in by Freya and Keelin, she never knew what it felt like to be loved before. And part of her wonders if she'll ever be able to love someone back, or if she's permanently damaged by her biological parents. Olivia started working as a mortuary assistant about a year ago, which she says is her dream job. She's also been practicing dark magic in secret, not having been able to resist the urge and the curiosity within her. It makes her feel stronger and more powerful.
