I was going through my stuff in my basement at home today because I’m moving to Brooklyn next week and wanted to sort through my old stuff. I found the last Bomb the Music Industry! album next to all my videos games from when i was growing up and put it on. Memories of when I got this album, the summer before my last year of college, came back to me and I smiled.

This night, November 4th 2017, we all just witnessed some crazy fucking mma magic and I am stunned!!!!!!

UFC 217 has officially been insane!

3 title fights, 3 new Champions.

Joanna Jędrzejczyk, dominant champion and one of the best strikers in all of mma getting ko’d in the first round by Rose Namajunas, being Rose’s first career knockout, after a week of seemingly getting into her head, including telling her she was going to take her soul, when most thought Rose still needed some more growth as a fighter before being able to truly challenge Joanna.

Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw finally getting to fight after years of animosity and days after Cody finally released training footage of him dropping TJ. TJ getting saved by the bell as Cody majorly rocks him at the very end of the first round, then Cody getting ko’d by him in the second round.

Georges St-Pierre coming out of 4 years of retirement back into the ever quickly evolving mma game, fighting a bigger man in Bisping, keeping calm and collected as ever, seemingly gassed out after the 2nd round, and still dropping Bisping then getting the rear naked choke making Bisping tap.

Wow. Just wow.

I went to my first UFC event on Saturday and saw three seemingly impossible wins happen live at MSG in front of me. Life is amazing at times.
