One of my favorite lines in the series was Rehv telling Ehlena that she would always have diamonds on the soles of her shoes.

âI donâtâŚunderstand,â she whispered. âItâs simple. I donât think you should date anyone.â Rehv moved in even closer, until he could see the flecks of gold in her eyes. âBut Iâm not just anyone.â

Meeting between Kings | Rehvenge and Wrath
âDoesnât matter about the sizeâŚGeorge is loyal and even though I can take care of myself he feels the need to protect me.â
Rehvenge laughed, âDoesnât realize youâre the size of a house, huh?â
Wrath chuckled, âobviously not.â
âGuess thatâs just the way of dogs. Maybe I should get Ehlena one.â
Wrath grinned, âdo it man.â
âLets see how she deals with the dog I get her father.â
âGood idea.â
âMaybe I should just have her pick the breed. She knows him better,â Rehvenge mused.
Wrath nodded slowly, âwhatever you think.â
âCome here George,â he called the dog, leaning forward.
Wrath smiled as he felt george pull away from his side.
George padded over to him quietly, sitting beside him. âWhat do you think of another dog?â he asked as he stroked his fur.
George looked up at Rehv his ears perking up, âwhats he doing?â Wrath asked.
âHeâs got his ears raised. He looks like heâs interested,â Rehvenge laughed.
Wrath chuckled, âsounds about right.â
âItâs not a friend for you, George,â he chuckled as the dog laid down at his feet.
Wrath smiled, âhes a good dog.â
Rehvenge nodded in agreement, petting the dog before standing. âIâll let you know if we decide to get one. Iâve got Ehlena waiting for me.â
âPlease do. Come by again.â
He walked over to the desk, extending his hand to shake the maleâs. âHopefully it wonât be when shit is going sideways.â
Wrath shook Rehvâs hand, âhope so.â
âTell the Queen I sent my regards; Iâll catch her next time.â
âOf course.â
âUntil next time, Your Majesty,â Rehvenge said with a grin, heading for the door.Â
âUntil next time my man.â
Rehvenge nodded to the male, heading out of the office in search of his shellan.

Wrath let out a snort, âyup.â
âIâve been thinking of getting Ehlenaâs father a dog,â he commented.
âTheyâre amazing if you get the one.â
âThey seem so,â he replied, watching as George put his head on Wrathâs lap.
Wrath petted his dogs fur, âthis one is as loyal as loyal can get.â
"I can tell," Rehvenge replied. "But with Ehlena's father being so old, a dog George's size may be too much for him."
