Hello out there!

I’m Nagisa, the person who runs this blog (and one other)! 21+, generally the quiet type who’s more scared of you than you are of me! Haha- Anyway, this post is my pinned one!

This is a Private roleplay blog for my OC, meaning that I’ll be hellishly selective on who I follow/follow back. This is mostly for my mental health and wellbeing, I hope you understand! Though I will point out that Melanie is originally a fanfiction character, so of course she has fandom ties and alternative universe stuff going on. Y’know the drill, won’t force relationships and all that.

I’ve come to a clear decision, after debating on it during my hiatus.

Melanie will be moved back to my multi, and I will be abandoning this blog. I can’t stay on here anymore. There’s too much, and I’m not in the best mental mindspace to continually be here.

All three threads I have are being moved over as well.

I’m sorry I couldn’t keep her on her own blog. It doesn’t feel peaceful here, not anymore.

I’m putting this blog, @fushichonoflugel and @starfellswords on hiatus. I’m mentally exhausted and don’t have the means to write here right now. This is no one’s fault, btw, IRL got nasty and I need to take a break to get my head back together.

“--And the leader was Cure Grace! Her non-precure self... I don’t know the name, but she was a good person.” On the train to another part of Japan, Shoko was listening to Ringo talk. It was early morning, and she was due to be there once the sun was higher in the sky.. Around ten in the morning. Which meant, the train would be practically empty for a bit.

“An’ yer sayin’ that’s why you chose me to take up her role? Ain’t Cure Grace, Ringo.” Shoko finally spoke up after a bit. “Cure Ember.”

“That’s because I could only get the Fire Elemental Bottle away in time!” Ringo stated, frowning. His head, like always, was peeking out of her bag while they travelled. He had always said it was for efficiency, and nothing more. Shoko figured he just liked looking since it was different from the world on fire that he’d come from. “That and Cure Grace’s Healing Stick! That’s all I could recover from the scene before the Byogens could destroy them!”

“Hm.”

When she finally arrived at where she’d heard of the attacks happening, she’d noted how.. peaceful it was at this moment. This meant that she was early, and she would need to walk about and figure out what to do next. While wandering the area, she noticed something out of the corner of her eye.

It was a young girl. And it seemed like she was just getting ready to go somewhere, so this was the only chance Shoko had to talk to her. Walking up, hand on the strap of her cream-coloured shoulder bag (which also held her Elemental Bottle and Healing Stick), Shoko raised a hand.

“Yo. Hear of the attacks ‘round this town? Any place they may be located, or centered in? Been havin’ some trouble pinpointin’ the disaster spot.”

Her mother had recently gotten married while she was off-world. She’d only met the man once, when Alice had brought him home and she’d been in the kitchen at that time..

She’d ended up going to a place called the First-- and then Eorzea afterwards. It’d taken her a bit to get back home because of how much there had to be done. Fandaniel’s plans had all but been taken care of for now, but she knew she’d have to be back at some point.

“Give us a few months!” Tataru had said with a smile as Melanie was readying to head back home. “We should be ready around November!”

So, she was back home. And now? Facing the prospect of having to explain her constant disappearances to a new person who joined the family. The fact she couldn’t be there for her own mother’s wedding was... certainly something to feel upset about, but she was more happy that her mother had finally remarried.

....And then it hit her. Hadn’t she met him before she’d met him while house-sitting with her mother and brother? He owned his own mansion off in another world, so... Why was he settling in Earth-87? And marrying her mother? Instead of questioning it, though, Melanie finally spoke up.

“I didn’t think we’d... meet again like this.” There she was, standing in the doorway of the house. It was close to 4am, and her new dad was sitting on the couch. As if anticipating her arrival or something. “Or that you’d be my mom’s husband when we met again.”

After sleeping on it and then thinking on it, I’ve come to a decision.

I will be resetting Melanie. A lot of things will be wiped, and I’ll be resetting to pre-Call to Arms. This is due to the fact that it no longer sits well with me to have that existing in her timeline of events since I no longer have contact with one of the people in it. I don’t want to be reminded of that.

I will be calling the prior timeline Timeline Zeta from here on.

I’ll be keeping relationships to a degree, and no one should be affected. However, most threads will be dropped. The exclusions are the pre-planned thread with Bowen and the threads with Kaze and Cthugha. This is so I can start over with a mostly-clean slate.

I apologize if this upsets people, but it’s the only way I can think of removing the feelings that keep me from logging back into this blog.

A part of me is struggling to find reason to log on to this blog anymore.

Not because I have nothing to do, mind. It’s because of how connected to drama my blog is. I’ve been taking a decline and it sucks-- I love Melanie dearly and still want to RP her. There’s so much more I can do with her.

....But I think I may end up either moving her back to her multi or starting over. Starting over means changing a lot about Melanie that’s more or less connected with what happened last month, and retconning other things from her history. I don’t know if I want to take this step. Again, I love Melanie dearly. I just think...

Maybe I should try and decide.

This isn’t meant as a guilt trip, and I apologize if it seems like one. I just... Ever since that day, I don’t feel right being on here. I’ve tried, and failed. And I’ve failed a lot of mutuals too. I feel awful about it.

What I’m trying to say is...

I’m stuck. I don’t know what to choose. Do I move her back, or do I start over? I’m honestly at an impasse and I...

I don’t know what to do.
