Guys I know i hated alot on this book dont come after me but I should genuinely say this...(im calling out on Jamesons actions and talking about javery so if you are fan of them and you feel like you cant take others opinion just scroll pass this post)

My unpopular opinions (some of them are not very unpopular in Tumblr):

1- javery is very unhealthy on Jamesons side. Jameson emotionally relay on avery and as it was written on books he doesnt even know how to breath without her, not ts was not romantic its extremely unhealthy for a person also its a book not a wattpad fic books are supposed to show healthy love and emotions not this obsession, my friend struggled with the same type of guy like Jameson and he really reminded me of her ex so I will make a full post about this one later

2- jamesons love to avery is like Toby's love to Hannah, they are both unhinged and unhealed without their love which i dont call love i call "obsession", bcs being violent and harsh toward everyone and lacking responsibility is not called romance its how an obsessive person act when they are left, a healthy relationship shouldn't be like this

3-Eve was one of the best written characters in book with so much complexity, you dont have o like her but you have to understand her bcs once you do you can see such a complex character she is

4-this book was supposed to be about lyra, gigi, Rohan savannah and grayson and new characters arc why we had so much Hawthornes/javery scenes honestly I enjoyed scenes with miles end, throps family and devil mercy way more

5-i will always mourn the potential lyra kane character had, she was described physically strong and she had so much intelligence why did jlb made her so Dependent and a love interest i hardly know her character and also I didn't even recognize lyra in tgb why she was written so differently?

6- justice for lyrason romance bcs they were so peak in the last two books but in this one it felt like jlb was done with them bcs they had their arc, they could have been written as peak as they were in last books but instead jlb decided that it was javery's book not them, remind you it was supposed to be their series

8-grayson was done very dirty in this book

9-again why was the ending hawthorne and avery centered? Why was the whole book avery centered? Why we saw avery having more important roles in plot and cult instead of lyra? Oh yes jlb just confused us with her family tree and sajd yes its done, thats lyra's arc cos no wtf😭 we barely saw gigi, savannah and Rohan ending we barely had lyra and grayson ending

10-where were Grayson’s siblings? :) im so sad we had no scene with them, especially a scene with savannah and grayson

eve mattias and mama slater

note: im running off absolutely nothing rn so these may be mischaracterizations

even though eve is very rich, mama slater insists always that they have dinner at their house

eve has her own room that she decorated and everything

whenever eve plans something and mattias joins in because he’s her “bodyguard” (brother really), they are both shouted at by mama slater

mattias thinks his mother is the coolest person ever no matter how long he doesn’t admit

they are eves found family 🥹

mama slater loves celebrating birthdays so she makes a cake for either mattias or eve and makes a big deal out of their aging

mama slater has a habit of pinching mattias’ cheek so eve also started to pinch his cheek for the sake of it

eve is VERY observant and ever since her incident with the teacher, she had a habit of always looking for exits - mama slater saw this once when she was staying over and gave her a spare key to their house instead of calling it out

mama slater one day wanted to have a day out dedicated going out with her two favourite children - they had the most fun ever

mama slater enforces this rule where there’s no talk of puzzles, the hawthornes and games etc etc on a day where they’re all together - it’s the only time where eve is allowed to be a normal teenager/young adult

mattias can always get eve to laugh and usually is the only one when she shuts down so mama slater will watch them interact knowing eve only softens with him

one time mama slater was watching eve and mattias throw darts and mattias was trying to teach eve to throw it on the centre knowing fully well he could barely do it - mama slater then corrected BOTH of them and hit it in the centre and walked out (go mama slater 😛)

both mama slater and eve like to tag team him and make fun of how down bad he is for gigi (let’s pretend tgb doesn’t exist for now)

mattias is quite fashionable sometimes and eve just says he gets it from his mother

they all spent a day trying to crochet - all failed but mama slater

mama slater bought stickers for both mattias and eve to stick on their special belongings - they both said they ‘didn’t’ but they did

eve and mama skater hit it off instantly after they met

mattias and eve both have this odd obsession with mario kart and get very competitive over it - mama skater had to separate them once after to turned into a pillow fight

mattias is also the designated driver all the time
