But when measured in cm, there is an exact 11 cm height difference between Goku and Vegeta, and between Vegeta and Krillin. Enjoy the useless trivia.:)

Artificial Instinct

Guys.... I literally can't even describe how much fun I'm having writing at the moment. I'm so happy.

So I'm writing this 17/Zoologist get together story and it's just the best. I love 17, he's so dry and witty, I've written my zoologist, Amya, a little before in prompts, but I've never really unpacked her on this level before and I adore her.

I think something I'm loving about this, is that she's an original character. I'm SO used to writing characters who already exist and finding ways to bring them out in my style, but having a blank slate to invent a character myself and understand what makes her tick and who she is and why has been such a fun challenge.

Anyone who has ever read more than 50 words by me knows that what I love for is story telling through my characters. World building is so boring to me which is why I love fan fiction so much - it's like playing a game on sandbox mode. Give me all the tools and let me just see what I can do.

All the times I've dabbled in original fiction I lose interest pretty quickly because you have to do so much background work before you can get to the fun stuff. So this, this has been so much fun. A world that already exists, a character I already love (17) and an easy enough story to tell (it's a romance, not space politics) and a chance to put my own spin on a whole new person in that world?

I went into this story thinking 17 was the protagonist, but it's become clear as I've written that this is Amya's story. She's so layered and has so many motivations beyond 17 = hot and mysterious, and it's been a joy to write and learn about her I hope when you read it you can see how much love has been poured into these words.

This is just a great story with fun characters in a cool setting.

I'm chipping away, I'm motivated to write, and I hope you're ready for approximately 70,000 words of 17 falling in love without realising thats what happening to him.

I can't wait to share it with you!

Android 18: While as a female character written by Toriyama she was always doomed to fall victim to being a Wife and Mother it's actually kind of hilarious since nothing else changed about her character or personality. I want 10000 more scenes like the shit she was getting up to w Mr Satan at the tournament.

Piccolo: I like him and i like his arc :) My favorite thing about him is that he's always the scaredest out of anyone in any given situation. I think SSRIs would help him. Krillin: probably the bravest character in the show. you really gotta hand it to a guy who frieza impaled and jiggled up and down on his horns while saying 'ride 'em cowboy' but who still shows up to every fight. that was really fucked up by the way. that frieza scene.

Supreme Kai: It is extremely endearing to me whenever a character is introduced as smug and scary and really composed and with it and then immediately gets thrust into circumstances where it's clear that was all a total facade and they're actually kind of a dweeb.

Mr Satan: I wasn't expecting to be so big on Mr Satan but i think he singlehandedly carries late DBZ for me. If this show didn't have a funny gag manga foil character it would be so agonizing to watch in the later arcs. I think Mr Satan is the smartest thing Akira Toriyama ever did.

Also honorable mention to Vegeta, who is shockingly poignantly written for a character in a 2-dimensional battle manga, to a degree i was genuinely surprised by. I've heard it said in places that he's Toriyama's least favorite character and I kind of wonder if that has something to do with it, actually. I feel like sometimes creators end up doing more interesting stuff with the characters they don't personally care for as much, because they're giving them flaws they wouldn't give other characters.

While I like Super showing 18 taking care of Krillin. I don’t like the fact they kind of put her in that typical housewive role.

I always envision or head canon, that 18 is unhinged and Krillin tries his best to tame that behavior. Also, Krillin would start to understand why Chichi be stress with Goku all the time.
