I wish saying “Sorry, I’ve been depressed the past couple of days, but I’m ok now.” was as socially acceptable as “Sorry, I’ve been really sick the past couple of days, but I’m ok now.”

Braved the storm again for a photo, closer to home than before, because really, who wants to go out in this? Always have to get something though!

This is a view that I had had in mind for a few days now after passing it by luck. So in a situation of low esteem and motivation, I had to go somewhere I knew I would find something I would be happy with. Had one of the worst days that I can remember today, and even while out taking this photo, had a hard time keeping my composure.  Just one of those days where you lose all hope that your life is going anywhere. Please, I am not looking for pity, I don't need consoling, I just needed to write it down, that seems to help. That and beer :D

Been toying a little bit with more simplistic photo ideas, this one may be a little experimental, but worth a shot I guess. Been running a little thin on photo subjects lately, if anyone has suggestions, they would be appreciated. Thanks!

For once I thought I'd do a B&W photo. Usually I don't tend to do them, just as a personal choice. I have a hard time letting go of the colors in the photos I take, but I thought the content made it appropriate.

Today, I decided it had been too long since I took the drone out for a flight. Granted, the weather has been fairly windy and cold, not great conditions for flying, especially over water. But I got this flight in just before the weather started getting bad again today. I wanted to get some shots of Ram Island Ledge Light (the tower in the distance to the right of the frame) but it was too far out for me to risk a flight, so I decided to just feature our own world-famous Portland Head Light.  I thought it appropriate content to pair with my new watermark as well.

On the way home at the end of the night, still no photo for the day, before noticing the beautiful giant mansion sitting up on the hill above me. Always been awed my this house, and amused that I've hardly ever seen it without a "For Sale" sign in the front yard. Who could afford this beast? I know almost nothing about this house, and would love to learn more.
