Luke 1:26-38. It's Mother's Day, how can I not talk about the mother that was favored and blessed by the Lord, to conceive the savior of the world. She didn't have supernatural abilities, or excellent talent, knowledge etc. so what did Mary have that she was highly favored by the Lord? To be favored by the Lord, is to be available not to have ability...just like Mary we are carriers of God, sealed until the final redemption, until the second coming of Christ. When you are favored by God it doesn't mean self indulgent, comfortable, and convenient. It means to be used for his purpose! Look at Mary did you think she would've known that in 33 years she would see her son nailed to the cross and in 3 days be resurrected?! God is the God of the universe all he wants are people who are available, surrender to his will and accept his tasks. Know that His tasks aren't easy. The Book of Job, explains ones followers life in destruction, but what did Job do? He forever remained faithful knowing that this is all for the glory of God, that God will bring him out of this because nothing is impossible with God. Luke 1:35-36. Mary's relative Elizabeth who was barren, who was told by the world that she could not conceive, is no longer barren because No word from God will ever fail. God is a supernatural God and our natural, rational selves will never understand foreshadowed, predestined, prophesied miracles! Stop putting limitations on yourselves, understand that You don't need a great, blessed start to be used by God, understand that God is the "GREAT I AM" throw away that pride that puts a limit on yourself. So today what's the degree to make room for God to use you? Because mother Mary gave herself, physically to carry (9 months) on the task to being The mother of Jesus.
