One of the best things about being a writer is thinking of something small you can add to your work that’s just. Devastating. Like you’re sitting there going. Oh. That would be diabolical. People would get really riled up about that. Exquisite. Let’s do it.
"i think", i say, about my own ocs, who i made,
Ugh. Space equivalent of a leper colony. The government can legally kidnap you and send you away for the greater good. Doctors and other providers are sent to work there (initially as busy/bitchwork, or something that's seen as a punishment) only to discover that they actually care about the patients there. A group (like Nuns who worked at Carville) taking up something like Laboratory work because there's no one else to do it
#anyways in 500 years the civilization that made the quarantine colony has completely disappeared but the colony is alive and well#the descendents of patients and doctors and other employees having made a society that's adapted to the living with the disease#living in bliss completely separate from the original purpose of the place {OP's tags}
it is your duty to hyperfixate on your ocs and make it everyone else's problem
no offense but can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars i could really use a wish right now
The feminine urge to lurk somewhere
When the mutual you really enjoy seeing in ur notes shows up in ur notes

Footnote: Not literally accurate, six American flags were planted on the Moon by Apollo missions 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17, the Apollo 11 flag was knocked over during liftoff because they placed it too close, and one might also count American flag decals on other Moon landers and vehicles.
But we like the spirit. Flag on Moon :-)
We report at the end of an exceedingly humid day: all through the afternoon, each movement we made triggered a comical amount of sweating. We have now made it through, and we find that the sky is dealing with the humidity in its own away. The sun sets in the mist.
We report: the constellations are broken up by the clouds, and we are too close to sleep to make sense of these things anyway. It feels easy to let go, to not wonder about what kind of clouds they are, or the names of the stars. The wind blows from the darkest corner of the sky.
We report: it is starting to get foggy. There is a subtle bloom softening the world, making us wonder if perhaps our eyes are simply tired. The clouds rise above the evening in a different world, in which the sun is brighter than ours. It gets dark at different paces everywhere.
