Im a beach/ country boy, a veteran and lineman. I absolutly love everything about the outdoors. I camp, hike, backpack, kayak, fish, hunt and so on. For my brothers and sisters out there... when those demons come looking for a fight, don't try to take them on alone. I've been there, I know how hard it can me. I'm always available to talk for anyone that needs to.

My mind hasn't been right the last couple days. Friday night I received a call that a good friend and fellow veteran lost his battle with his demons. He took his own life, leaving a lot of grieving family behind who simply don't understand. Sadly this isn't the first call I've got regarding this matter. I don't know what to think about this other than I'm deeply saddened. I feel ashamed that I couldn't be there or do more for more people who are in need.

So this is my plea for everyone on here, especially the veterans. Please go check on, call, text or somehow check on your battle buddy, shipmates, friends or whatever else you call them. Sometimes one call or supportive gesture can make all the difference and could prevent another senseless suicide. These numbers are way to big and growning. It's up to us to help each other.
