{🚬} — “…" Must’ve been something really harsh to make him not even want to tell Tatsuya. He merely sighed and leaned into Tsubasa’s hand in return. He might learn one day…
It wasn't as terribly bad as the other probably assumed--Tsubasa just hated people talking about his only friend. They had been pretty much together since childhood and here they were now. He got defensive about Tatsuya easily and he didn't take shit from anyone about it.
{🚬} — “I’m not all that surprised. What did he say… that got you beating him into a pulp?" Tatsuya couldn’t help it— but he felt the skin on his cheeks heating up slowly. His own hand moved, holding the side of Tsubasa’s head, over his ear.
His head shook slightly, signaling he didn't want to say anything else about it. He leaned his head into his hand.
{🚬} — The area felt a bit cold now without his hand. ‘Yeah, I thought so. What happened?’
'I was patrolling on the roof and I was reading some guy's conversation and he was talking shit about you.' He quickly stopped signing, reaching out and placing his fingers gingerly over his eye once more.
{🚬} — Tatsuya watched him with his good eye which was half-lidded as he kept the other’s hand there, almost leaning into the touch a bit before fully peeling off the patch.
‘Then… trust me when I say I won’t be angry or disappointed.’
His hand slid off of the wounded eye, only so he could sign back at him. 'I got into a fight.'
{🚬} — “…" So, silence. Tatsuya’s free hand grasped Tsubasa’s, moving it to the patch he wore over his eye and pushing the other male’s fingers under it. A scar only the bearer and Tsubasa knew of.

The sudden shift of his hand against raised, rougher skin snapped his dark gaze over. He stared at his friend, inhaling through his mouth softly.
....Yes.
{🚬} — “So… what honestly happened, Tsubasa? People don’t just sneak up on you like that— not after so many years of practice.”
A soft shrug was given in response, avoiding his gaze.
{🚬} — Fingers grasped his hair and pinched Tsubasa’s nose shut, shifting his head so his mouth was in sight. “Can you grab the ice pack and press it sorta on your nose and cheek? It’ll slow the bleeding down.”
Slowly does as he's told, shutting one eye from the cold air radiating from the ice pack.
{🚬} — ‘Ah— shut the fuck up, you baby.' Pulls him to the futon and sits him down before getting some medicinal supplies from a drawer.
Looks down as he waited for him to come back, feeling a bit guilty about lying to him. He had gotten into a fight and he didn't want to admit it to him.
{🚬} — ‘Ah— sorry, Tsubasa. Need any help…? I can quickly get some supplies from the fourth.’
'Not the fourth. I'll be fine.'
{🚬} — ‘… Are you fucking kidding me? You had me fucking worried for a second and it’s just because you got scared?! I expected you would hit them in the face not you!’
'Thanks for making me feel better, you shithead.'
{🚬} — ‘Why the fuck did you do that?’
'You act like I like bloody noses. I got scared by someone behind me and hit my face.'
'Myself.'
temporary hiatus!
this blog will be taking a hiatus until the end of the school year! I’ll be graduating this year and I really want to try and finish the year strong. Also, graduation comes with a lot of stress, so I’m going to be managing that as well. I’ll return here as soon as I can!
{🚬} — ‘No it’s alright, it’s my fault anyways. And that’s good— nothing interesting happen?’
'Sorta. A quincy showed up and I had to fight...but I didn't overdose or anything.'
{🚬} — “Tsu…" ‘I know. Sorry. … How was the mission?’
'Didn't mean to say what I did. It was okay.'
{🚬} — “Eh?" ‘But I don’t ask them to say my name… you’re the only one I ask that from because I like how you say it…? Sorry if you felt like that.’
'I don't like talking. Your name is hard to say.'
