okay so this is for @kitkat1003 but i’ll post for anyone else interested too

basically this is how i draw a standard profile kiss. i don’t use references because whenever i look up actual kissing it’s like….oh…this is grosser than i thought lmao. so this probably isn’t accurate but it might be helpful?

i love height difference so i’m gonna use a short and tall person as an example

alright so this is for a profile kiss. you gotta decide whose nose is gonna be showing and which nose is gonna be hidden. i’ve read somewhere that the person initiating the kiss will have their nose hidden? but i just do it based on what looks better to me lol

so here’s what it looks like if you just mash their faces together

now here’s what it looks like if Person B’s nose is showing

generally my rule is that if the nose is showing, the top lip is going to cover Person A’s top lip, so you’ll only see Person A’s bottom lip (which will cover Person B’s bottom lip). again, this isn’t necessarily accurate, this is just my style of doing it.

and then if you wanna go for something more ~steamy~ i like to open the mouths a bit. Person B’s top lip is still covering Person A’s, but you can see Person B’s bottom lip a bit more.

and this is what it’d look like if Person A’s nose was showing. again, top lip covers Person B’s top lip and Person B’s bottom lip is slightly covering Person A’s bottom lip.

now when you get to different angles and whatnot, references will be much more helpful. but hopefully this is somewhat useful lol
