[ nap ] sender falls asleep against receiver
It is the subtle change in Leliana’s breathing that makes Lyna realize--makes her pause her reading and hold very still, slowing her own breaths so as not to disturb her companion. Eamon’s estate is silent except for the occasional whisper of settling wood, as even the footsteps of the servants have retreated, and although Lyna doesn’t know what new troubles might find them in a few short hours, at least for now they are at peace.
The bed is softer than anything Lyna has ever slept in, and bigger, too; it’s plenty of space for both women to share, whether that means making love (and in much greater comfort and privacy than in their tents, to be sure) or holding each other afterwards or simply... this. The warm weight of Leliana’s head on Lyna’s shoulder and her arm around Lyna’s middle. Lyna snuffs the candle on her bedside table, sets the book aside, and closes her eyes.
