[Blue Horizon] OCs Height Comparison

ACTUALLY no one tagged me for this I was just really curious and wanted to do it, haha.

Rules: Use this website to compare the height of your OCs.

The site has more traditionally/conventional masculine looks aside from a few androgynous ones, so I got really curious over whether I could still match up my characters' bishonen/bishojo/androgynous/non-Western-focused looks.

AND I MANAGED...kind of. It was also lacking in natural and specific black hairstyles, though it did wind up having a few.

(In canon Alia doesn't use a bow; I just thought that sprite looked more close to how I'd want an Alia silhouette to look with the limited options.)

Layla Shortie Height Among Friends Despite Being 5'7" (170 cm) fulfillment has occurred hehehe.

Here's the greater chart with the main female characters of Blue Horizon Book 1 Part 2:

Khalida can be 6'5" or 6'6" (198 cm); I can't decide. Again a majority of designs barely fit the characters.

And here it is with the triplets (Antonio's identical twin Fernando and fraternal twin Raj):

Fernando doesn't have a bow either (or maybe he does... I have to think about it later). I mainly chose that sprite because it seemed vaguely similar to the Antonio one I chose but with vaguely longer hair.

Yes the fraternal twins have the same height but the identical don't.

On the inspiration for Blue Horizon's "magical babies" lore

In terms of gays with kids, in Blue Horizon universe they can either adopt (sort of--as noted in comic 2, it's no longer allowed, but unofficial adoption happens) or utilize magical method (outside the body)!

It's like scientific method (above) but instead I have no idea what is happening. 😎👍🏾👍🏾

As for why I created the magical method--I made up the magical kids lore in the 2000's because I read a Sailor Moon yuri fanfic that introduced me to in vitro and i thought that was the Bee's Knees.

Back in the day people used to have blatant hatred for characters in the way of gay fanfic couples, so in the fic iirc Mamoru was like, "But Usagi, you can't have Chibi-usa without me!" and then Usagi was like, "Actually with modern science I Can," or something like that.

At 12 years old I was like "Wow... modern science...! 😮"

Very excited, like "Whoa!! We're in the future!!" (The year 2003.) In any case, I started messing with Blue Horizon around 14 and established the magic babies thing at 15.

There's around 3 series outside Sailor Moon and Hotaru (kinda) that I've learned about with magic babies (and classics like Thumbelina and Athena out of Zeus' head) but i haven't seen any involving gay couples yet outside Sailor Moon's Harumichisetsu, which surprised me tbh. (A famous one and one of the 3 [4 if Sailor Moon] series I'm thinking of is Powerpuff Girls and "Chemical X.")

ANYWAY!! NOW. Antonio Chandrani-Rivera is a son from the future instead of daughter from the future.

Pink Biju Picrew Blog Post Day

I am obsessing over my OC Biju looking super pink... But in canon he's fuchsia.

STILL... I'm going to drop a few Picrews!

I was obsessing over his sister Keya + their friend Posh Hat (without hat)'s Sushicore Picrews anyway so after I made a Picrew of Layla and Biju too I'm just gonna drop the Sushicore + all the pink Bijus.

SO... Keya and Posh Hat (without hat) are close friends-ish.

Main character Layla dislikes their cousin Keya. Biju is Keya's brother who changes eventually from his cute nerd looks. Biju's wings are a metaphor!

Since I'm dropping Sushicore anyway on Tumblr y'all can have versions of the main character Chandrani-Rivera triplets--Antonio, Raj and Fernando in that order.

Here's the Keya and Posh Hat (without hat) set by Makowka and then two of Biju where I thought it'd be funny for it to be implied that Biju steals Keya's looks.

NEXT... Are a bunch of pink Bijus.

lj timez: nanowrimo updates + random cuteness + Picrews

trying to do nanowrimo for another sky verse epic fantasy book 2 draft 1. last november i managed 40k for book 1 draft 2 despite treating it as a casual go! this year i'm unsure; i'm even less intensive than last year, but trying. am at 14k right now. last year just felt so intense when it came to my weaving the first book together… i wonder how book 2 draft 1 will feel to look back on? it's actually less frustrating so far than writing book 1 felt.

i wrote the light novel's first draft in 10 days back in august too--30k--but have been dilly-dallying expanding it. still happy though.

the beginning is always rough but i'm getting more of a sense of the plot! when i get excited it feels more worthwhile, and i'm very 👁️👁️ over the ancients' nasir and shakir's potential plotline for book 2, to the point i kinda want to work on it before their current incarnations antonio and alejandro even though it's probably best to write the latter first!

we'll see how the rest goes.
