I mostly have seen the boycott talked about on Twitter within the past week(s), but not much outside it.
With Zeez releasing this video, I figured i might link it on here & on my Bsky.
Not only does it talk about the Identity V boycott, but also explains the differences between GenAI & the "catch all" term of just saying AI. I believe the section giving a deep dive on Generative AI & its problems are important even outside of this boycott, as it is very informative & easy to understand.
It also touches on the racism & colourism issues that have been a problem for years, and I can attest for having caused many attempts at boycotts over the years: unfortunately none near as successful as the current one. Whilst we have Netease's attention, we should speak up about the whitewashing, cultural appropriation & otherwise insensitive skins as well.
If you see this post, I would really appreciate you reblogging this & maybe even go watch Zeez' video to help boost it - even if you aren't part of the Identity V community.
These concerns also apply to other Netease Games, like Marvel Rivals & plenty other games, so by helping support this boycott & pushing information, maybe a game you really like may get out of this spiral as well.
Even if you don't play any of the games made by Netease, I'd still love for you to a least reblog this so it reaches more people.
Artists have lost their jobs already, their work is being run through GenAI "enhancements" & has likely been used as training data , and any remaining artists in Joker Studios are seemingly getting rushed by Netease higher ups, as NE still hasn't addressed the situation but a lot of recent art is suspiciously looking rushed. The artists working on this game deserve better.
This is about the IDV Boycott - April 2026 Last Updated: May 1st I want to make a disclaimer first: No the AI situation is NOT more importa
Document made by one of my Twitter (and Tiktok, before I deleted it) mutuals going over the boycott. I got permission to link it here and on Bluesky.

NetEase Inc (NASDAQ:NTES) : The Technical Indicator That Works
Date Published: 2017-12-13 Disclaimer The results here are provided for general informational purposes, as a convenience to the readers. The materials are not a substitute for obtaining professional advice from a qualified person, firm or corporation. LEDE At some point, after all the social media craze and pundits on financial television drawing lines on stock charts, we need to stop the noise and just answer, once and for all, has technical trading actually worked in the past?
Answers, empirical and explicit, not just some lines on a chart -- that's what we're after. ANSWERS The idea is simple -- stocks tend to move in tight ranges for the majority of the time, and then they move in bursts for the remaining periods. The breakout from the TTM Squeeze technical indicator attempts to find these bursts. Here is a simple graphic, where the gray line is the daily stock price, the blue bars comprise the tight squeeze zone, and then we see the break out into a bearish move. Roughly speaking, this is the pattern that this technical indicator is attempting to identify and back-test.
The goal, of course, is to find these breakouts before they occur and to scan the market for the best historical performers. Rules * Open the long 40 delta call (out of the money call) on the day the TTM Squeeze has been broken with upside momentum. * Close the call after that signal has seen a consecutive two-day reversal. * Use a 50% stop and a 50% limit on the back-test. * Use the options closest to 15 days from expiration. * Never trade earnings -- irrespective of the technical indicator, this trade will close 2-days before a scheduled earnings announcement. This is a straight down the middle bullish bet -- this trade wins if the stock rises and will lose if the stock does not. RISK CONTROL Since simply owning out of the money options is an aggressive directional bet, we test this approach with added risk limiting parameters, namely, the back-test uses a 50% stop loss and a 50% limit gain.
This also has the benefit of taking profits early, before the bullish signal ends -- that is, before two consecutive reversal days appear. RESULTS Owning the 40 delta call in NetEase Inc (NASDAQ:NTES) over the last 3-years but only held it after a TTM Squeeze was triggered we get these results:
NTES Long 40 Delta Call Signal: TTM Technical Squeeze % Wins: 85.7% Wins: 6 Losses: 1 % Return: 1037%

The mechanics of the TradeMachine™ are that it uses end of day prices for every back-test entry and exit (every trigger). We see a 1037% back-test return, which is based on 7 trades in NetEase Inc. A bullish breakout from the TTM Squeeze is a technical signal that doesn't happen often, but rather is designed to mechanically identify the times when a stock is in a low volatility period and may be about to thrust higher. It's a signal based on probabilities, not absolutes, so it won't work all the time. Looking at Averages The overall return was 1037%; but the trade statistics tell us more with average trade results: ➡ The average return per trade was 82%. ➡ The average return per winning trade was 106.7%. ➡ The return for the losing trade was -65.8%. Technical Details For the details about the TTM Squeeze, how it works, when it's triggered, why it's relevant and what it means, you can discover scientific option trading from the link (which leads to a short video). Seasonally Strong Week
The big news of the day is Intel's (INTC) acquisition of MobilEye (MBLY) at a +30% premium. The big news of the week is and will be the rate hike this Wednesday. Seasonally this week has been a very positive week for the market as you can see in the chart below.
$BABA, $FIVN, $NTES, $TEAM, $YNDX, $TNA are the stocks on my long-only watchlist today.
We have an interest in these stocks if and only if they can get through yesterday's high plus .10-cents, that is typically where our buy stops will be. This single criterion will narrow down the list to a handful of names unless of course, the market is super strong. You can also narrow down the list by float, price, sector, or whatever your preferences are.
These ideas are what we consider swing trades that can last anywhere from 1-10 days. Most stocks if not all go through momentum burst that lasts 1-10 days, that momentum burst is what we look to take advantage of.
