'so what do you think?' coco's been living off yatsu's lunches for so long, she figures it's time to give back to her teammate. and how else than a bit of delicious (read: burned, scorched and unrecognizable) home cooking, prepared by an adel herself? the skill certainly isn’t there, given that coco’s never had to actually cook for herself, but hey. her heart’s in it, at least (even if the seasoning’s not). ‘do you like it?’

based on this headcanon / love from hali ( always a. ) @tadmean.

          yatsu stares at the scorched piece of meat on her plate, knowing fully well that this is a product of adel’s maximum effort.  she feels bad that coco’s gone through all this trouble to repay her for her efforts in being essentially the team chef / baker, but it’s something yatsu does entirely out of love.  she earnestly tries a couple of bites of the seared meat ( and her poker face is the best around ).  “ hmmm. ”

         blinking, her neutral expression then shifts to the pan where coco is still cooking.  “ let me help you. ”  what’s still cooking appears to be salvageable !!  “ garlic powder and salt.  butter too. ”  all of the ingredients go into the pan onto the steaks, simmering up a concoction of seasonings to improve the taste.  “ try this. ”  cutting a small sliver of meat off from the pan, she offers it to coco, holding the fork out to her.  “ see ? tasty. ”  the she - giant leans down to her teammate, giving her a soft smooch on the lips.  “ like your lip gloss. ”  and with that, she gives a playful wink, and continues to season the other steaks ( her arm moves to curl around adel’s waist, soft smile twinkling like the stars against the night sky ).  how grateful she is, even for the little things.
