“Bark for me”
Let’s say we’re in a modern AOT au.
Who is most likely to make this joke in Isaak’s relationship lolll.
Had to sit with this question for a bit cuz I was so surprised.
Alrighty. See if you had asked me this type of question 3 years back, I would've said 100% that that's Reiner saying it to Isaak. But time gives wisdom. That's Isaak saying it to Reiner lmao. If it's Isaak with a similar personality as canonverse pre timeskip Isaak, it would be mostly jokes and teases. If it's Isaak with a similar personality as canonverse post timeskip Isaak, I think it would be less of a joke.
To put it very simply, Reiner's the barker there.
strange, new world ⸻ @stalwartembers
𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬 ⸻ a meteor shower descending in glowing white-hot heat. fragments of rocks that elevated from the earth itself came rippling through like waves off a furnace & towards those creatures of unknown origin with such powerful force, it killed them upon impact. & yet the worst has yet to come as the heart of the tempest ignited with a passionate intensity of a thousand suns that even just trying to look at the bright fire would cause anyone to burn at the seams.
the remaining creatures of black & green awaited on the ground ⸻ silhouettes of claws & snarling maws ⸻ & had only been able to look skywards a little too late as the mechanical warfare SAM collided with the earth like an atomic bomb.
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐰𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, flames, & shards of molten stone throughout every corner of the strange, encased labyrinth she had found herself trapped in. within the smoldering crater at the impact’s center, the searing apparatus rose with a stagger, steam hissing from every opening as her visor shook & glitched to regain its regularity. nothing could be seen except the excess smoke that lingered dangerously like a toxic, dark cloud.
then a deafening silence.
𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬, chest rising & falling in ragged, uneven breaths. SAM’s armor creaked to mimic groans as this battle had stretched itself far longer than it should’ve. she couldn’t recall when the fighting started, but she felt like she had been stuck in this maze for days, & these alien creatures continued to sprout from nothing to pounce on her. she was a warrior through & through, but even the fiercest fighters can near their exhaust point.
& she knows her health hasn’t been the greatest lately.
𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐠𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐬, but once affirming that enemies were no longer an issue ⸻ as of now ⸻ she dispelled her armor & collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud. she needed to take some time to breath, some time to collect her remaining bits of energy, & the idea of sleep sounded heavenly to her.
maybe just one tiny nap wouldn’t hurt.
cut from the same cloth ᴬᵁ — yeosang & august
my peerless paramour ᴬᵁ (spencer & jinki)
Looking up at Jinki as he got down from his carriage, Spencer nodded in thanks to the servant who assisted him. Honestly, if someone told the young earl months ago that he would be competing for his childhood friend’s hand, he probably would’ve sputtered and spouted something about how ‘he didn’t like the duke like that.’
Climbing up the stairs to the manor that reminded him of his own back home, Spencer greeted Jinki’s parents with a formal bow before flashing them a smile and giving them each a hug. They’ve known him since he was a child, after all, chasing after dragonflies and pestering their son to take him out to their gardens so they can play.
Once that was over, Spencer eventually came face to face with Jinki as the other’s parents eventually left them alone and the servants busied themselves with moving his luggage from the carriage to his designated room. “Good afternoon, your grace.” His words were accompanied with a bow, and the sincerity in the action contrasted with the teasing smirk on the earl’s face.
“Bet you thought I was throwing you to the wolves when I didn’t respond to your last letter, didn’t you? But really Jinki? A tournament of sorts with your hand as the prize?” Rolling his eyes, Spencer successfully ignored the fact that he had vowed to win despite all costs. He just.. didn’t want Jinki to marry a stranger, is all. If he concentrated hard enough, he can even convince himself that this was all there is to it. “How many people are your parents considering anyways?”

Agatha & Susanna AU: in 1948, Agatha stares reincarnation in the face as she is reunited with Susanna- however, Susanna has no recollection of Salem or Agatha, and doesn't understand why she develops feelings for her friendly neighbor Agnes.
Agatha (Agnes) must let things take a natural course as she could ruin everything by telling Susanna the truth.
BONUS:
Scratchy (going by Ralph) takes a human form to help navigate Agatha through this phenomenon.

He had no obligations today.
Vividly he remembers the last time a day like this had occurred, months ago on a rainy Sunday. To celebrate he had helped himself to Tsuru’s winecabinet, pulled out the vinyl, and read the day away. The clear skies and breezy air of Saturday contrasted that day, and so Doflamingo felt it only appropriate to be equally extroverted, donning his latest outfit and parading his confidence and style through the streets. Traveling without destination, he lets whim and his feet carry him forward, challenging them to make him lost.
What were the chances then, that instead of disorientation, that they’d lead him across Rocinante this far in the city? They were good enough to laugh at them both as the elder witnesses his baby brother burning away a cigarette. At first, he’s furious, but as he stalks forward that indignantly morphs into deviance, laughter in his eyes though sunglasses obscured them.
His catty grin more than makes up for it.
“So logs and pans aren’t the only thing you learn to burn at camp.”
