13. My character by your character’s death bed

The battle left him worse for wear. His body covered in injuries from head to toe, and he lost a lot of blood from the prior battle. The doctors did what they could to try to bring him back to shape, but it wasn’t good enough to hope for his recovery. It seemed like this is the end of line for All Might…

Yuri kept quiet, looking down at the comrade he made. His sense of will and values reminded him of another old man he had came to respect. To be able to stand against all odds while keeping a smile on his face took a lot of strength. Though behind that smile he knew it was an facade to hide the pain, the worry, the struggles he faced when it came to dire situations. He also knew it was a great way to reassure those around him, and Yuri knew that all too well. It was a shame he had to go, because he’s sure he could learn a thing or two.

All Might had slowly opens his eyes, and Yuri’s meets his. Judging by the look in his eyes, he figured it was time for him to go.

“Hey there, Sunshine,” Those sullen eyes of his appeared to be carrying more weight than usual. Perhaps it was because he wouldn’t be able to look after that green-haired kid anymore? “You did good. I’m sure he’ll be alright. Because hey…. He’s not alone.” And to end it all, he gives All Might a smile. Not one that hid pain, but a genuine one. One that was true and certain.

28. Looping their arm around mine’s waist and leaning against mine’s back

Tasty parfait in one hand, and a silver spoon in the other. Yuri had made himself a delicious cold treat for himself to enjoy in his time alone, and had seated himself by the window of Halure’s inn. A nice view from where he sits as he enjoys the tasty parfait. Everyone but Repede and Judith were out wandering someplace around Halure, doing their own thing. Yuri will be joining them soon enough, but not until he was done with his own dessert.

Judy on the other hand didn’t mind staying behind and waiting. He had told her he’d catch up with her, but she insisted on staying, and before he knew it, she moved swiftly towards the vigilante. Much like a sly lioness about to pounce on her pray, and soon enough she had wrapped her arms around his waist, leaning against him, and resting her chin on his shoulder.

“J- Judy…?” Yuri’s visibly confused by her approach. His body reacting the way it usually does when someone makes contact with him this close. He shifts awkwardly and Judy takes this opportunity to take the spoonful of parfait that Yuri held within his hand.

He blinks, and then sighs. He should of known better that this was just one of her ways to get what she wants, and he had fallen into her trap yet again.

“Jeez, Judy. If you wanted some, you could have just asked.” And he decides to share the rest of his parfait with her. Each of them taking turns spoon feeding each other like love-struck birds, but in reality they just loved playing with each other like this. Despite how misleading it may look to anyone on the outside. Thankfully, it was only Repede with them, but Repede always left them to their playful fun.

Who is more affectionate?

Despite his awkwardness, it’s definitely Yuri. Leon’s a huge tsun, which makes Yuri open enough to giving affection to our favorite hot-head. He does it to tease him and see him get flustered, but it’s an affectionate kind of teasing.

Who gets the head pats more often?

Leon does. Sometimes Yuri wants to reach out and mess with his hair. He gets urges and he tries to resist them because he knows Leon will get upset. I mean if you have seen this, then he’s more tempted to do so. The only thing is, it’s more of a head ruffle rather than a pat. Yuri tries to find a work around so Leon won’t get as upset.

Who gives the hugs & who gets the hugs?

Yuri gives them and Leon receives them. Again he’ll do it just to fluster him. He’ll wrap his arms around his waist, wearing that mischievous smirk as he looks down at him. That kind of thing~.

Who gives the nicknames & who wishes they would stop with nicknames?

Yuri again. He already calls Tofu’s Leon, ‘Sweet Tooth.’ He’ll probably end up coming up with a silly little nickname for your Leon too~.

Who’s more likely to say “yes dear” to the other?

Gosh, that would also be Yuri again. Maybe he’ll exaggerate leaning towards Leon’s general direction, rest his chin on his hand while he bats his eyes at him. Which will most likely cause Leon to splutter and shout at him.

Who’s the “I told you so” friend?

Ahaha, probably Leon. Seeing how Yuri can be such a trouble maker and draw all sorts of trouble towards him. Whether it was his fault or not.

Who’s the friend who’s name ends with “no”?

Yuri. It’s just Leon shouting at him all the time because he knows the trouble Yuri can stir. And Yuri’s just grinning mischievously all the while.

Who’s the friend that always has the best advice?

I believe Yuri is better at giving advice. While I never played Destiny (Well, only a little bit), I know he’s just generally socially awkward when it comes to just about anyone. And his remarks can be rather rude and tend to push people away. Yuri’s a very observant and understanding person who’s capable of reading in between the lines. So I feel he’s very capable of putting up with him while giving him some around the bush advice to try and get Leon to think. Rather than be straight forward with him, because I’d imagine Leon will most likely burst and/or get defensive if you’re too forward with him. Especially if it regards his character.

Who’s always invading the other’s personal space?

I mean, have you seen the icon I put up there. It’s definitely Yuri. He’ll lean all up on him, press his face against Leon’s. He’ll hold his hand, caress his face, etc. All because Leon would be fun to tease.

Who tends to apologize first after an argument?

I want to say no one for this. Maybe Yuri if he feels he really did something wrong (Probably if he teases too much or if it goes too far). But from what I know about Leon, he seems like the kind of guy that refuses to apologize. And Yuri’s not the kind of person to just apologize just to make the other feel better and put their problems behind them. He’s blunt and honest (At least when it’s not regarding his well-being.) So he’s true to his word. I remember Tofu showing me a skit where his friends ended up giving in and apologize and Leon pretty much replies in a way of ‘I’m glad you see the error of your ways’ or something like that. And honestly? Yuri’s not going to put up with that. Because of this, I feel like they can get into some pretty nasty arguments. But Yuri tries to make sure they don’t go that far.

Who buys the better presents?

Hmmm… Maybe Leon? Yuri’s more of a traditional gifter where he’ll probably make the gift himself rather than buy it. That or he might ask for advice from friends that can help him out find a gift, because Yuri usually doesn’t know what to buy. But at the same time, he’s the kind of person to pay attention to detail? So maybe Yuri might be better at buying presents. Leon might buy something expensive and tacky, making Yuri feel awkward now that I think about it, ahaha.

Who forgets birthdays more often?

I would think Leon would be more forgetful about birthdays. He can be pretty selfish from what I know, but seeing as how he can get pretty lonely and attached, he might make a big fuss about getting them something nice but not knowing their exact birthday.

Nights in or adventures out?

Now this is where I’m not quite sure for Leon’s side, but definitely both on Yuri’s end! He loves adventure, but he likes to relax every now and then too.

Is there a secret handshake?

Probably not. Leon might make a comment that handshakes are too stupid, but maybe secretly want one? But still refuse to do it if they did have one.

You have one word to describe their relationship, what is it?

Chaotic

How does your character choose to confess to the person they’re interested in? Do they usually get accepted or rejected?

Ahaha, the thing about my Yuri here, is he has never had any romantic interests. (Minus the one when he was just a kid and had a crush on someone 14 years older than him) Nor does he plan on having any in the near future. The thought of entering a romantic relationship doesn’t interest him. Nor does he wish to settle and start a family. That’s definitely not going to happen as far as he knows. He’ll feel tied down and it’s really not his thing. So he’ll never confess to anyone in hopes to start a relationship.

However he is capable of flirting, but it’s always in good fun+tease. Never anything serious. Sometimes his playful flirting does involve kissing but that’s only if he’s absolutely sure the other knows it’s not to be taken seriously and he’s comfortable with them. But then, he’s usually not the one starting it. Judy is definitely one person he has no problem being playfully flirty with. There was a time he did so with Flynn too, just to fluster him because flustering him is hilarious. Another time with a Zelos and Rose as well.

Though despite not wanting a romantic relationship or more, he has confessed to @gallant-assassin‘s Rose if they could be platonic partners. It was done in a very crackish way though, and I should probably do a more serious take, but he’d be really subtle about it. ‘Confessing’ his feelings isn’t really his thing. If he were to go about it, he’d do so by actions and try to go about saying it, but nothing really comes out. Yuri’s much too awkward, so he’ll usually wait until their bond grows to the point where they know how each other feels. A silent agreement/answer, in other words.

Who does your character have a deep and loyal love for?

Repede.

Nah, I kid. It’s not just Repede, but his family in the Lower Quarter as well as the family he made along his journey. All of them hold a very special place in his heart. And despite how he’s not one to show it, he truly cares deep down. As Yuri says it when it comes to anyone he’s close to, they’re “one of ours.” He wouldn’t say things like that with those he didn’t care for. He’d fight to protect them, self sacrifice himself for them. So long as they’re smiling, then he’s happy. He’s there for them and puts thought and consideration until how they feel and tries to help them when he can. In a subtle way, where no one really notices, but he’s there to lend a hand when it’s needed. When they do notice, he always tries to deny it. He goes above and beyond for them.

Describe a crossover verse/story that you have written out for your character that you’d love to roleplay. Why did you choose to make them that way?

My Breath of the Wild verse where Yuri is a male gerudo after 100 years! I really liked the thought of making him a Gerudo, and he looks really nice in tanned skin. Though I’ve been pondering about his hair color. I want to keep it the same, but Gerudo are known to have red hair. But in BotW, we see some with pink hair!
