Time Lords and Andalites were like oil and water. Two species that claimed peacefaring nature-- inciting wars in their wake. The similarities of the arrogance and ignorance of both groups [speaking in broad strokes] was taboo to mention. Both were quite full of themselves, convinced other life in the universe was somehow, just ever so slightly, beneath them. And thus, as a powerful spacefaring race, it was their duty to protect the universe from itself.
Ax had learned of the Time War as a child in school-- studied it along with other subjects, including his favorite-- one involving a planet his brother told him of-- Earth.
Like the elder Time Lord before him, he'd fallen in love with the planet-- and had assisted five humans in fighting for it, in spite of it not being his home. In kind, he found the family he never knew he'd wanted.
Unfortunately, he was presently separated from them, a ward of UNIT as an unregistered alien minor.
He was currently in his human morph, he found he was stared at far less if he looked like this. Humans had this weird habit of watching his stalk-eyes-- it made him quite apprehensive-- almost anxious. When Ax got anxious, he got to work. Presently he was using some human and UNIT-permitted technology to try and create a signal to contact his people.
"If you are here to offer advice, I am quite capable of building a Z-space communication relay on my own, sir." Technically-- The Doctor outranked even Prince Kate, the leader of UNIT. He still had to cowtow to a superior officer-- something that had been drilled into his head by both his culture and the military academy he'd attended.
Something caught his attention though--- a familiar scent. Ax's pupils dilated as his human mind quickly told him what it was.
"You brought cinnamon buns? That-- is a different story."
