“Alice finally let Adri hold her without whining for me to take her back. I think she’s finally realizing that he’s nice and gives her food and cuddles too. He can’t stop smiling like an idiot and Alice is just loving the attention.”

“Alice finally let Adri hold her without whining for me to take her back. I think she’s finally realizing that he’s nice and gives her food and cuddles too. He can’t stop smiling like an idiot and Alice is just loving the attention.”
“...Hehe...I just realized - For father’s day this year, I made my dad a grandpa.”
“...Holy shit, Adri an’ me are dads now”
“I’ve not slept in almost 2 weeks now. Jer’s in such pain; Vlad suspects he’s got a stress fracture somewhere in his hip, but there’s little he can do. And I’m not sure if Thorek is at home at the moment.”
Sigh
“Jer’s gotten some kind of ill recently, and it’s very worrying. Not just because of the babe. Vlad can’t find a cause beyond the fact that he’s not breathing as well, but I can feel the pains. I hope he’ll be alright...”
Jer your going to get it lol. is Adrian scared of bugs or did that spider just surprise him?
“Oh I got it, alright.” Jer rolled his eyes, smiling.
“A little of both, I think. He definitely wasn’t expecting a 2 inch spider to come flying out towards his feet when he opened the fridge. He used to absolutely hate bugs in the house. Any bug. But since my family lived in mom’s cabin in the forest, bugs are kind of a thing you just learn to deal with. So he’s gotten better at not screaming every time a bug skitters by.”
Jer spent the rest of April 1st scrutinizing everything and anything that seemed out of place. He was not going to let Adrian get back at him for that spider. Even if it took him 15 minutes to inspect his dinner before trying to eat it.
He’d catch Adrian watching him with an amused smirk, and it only confirmed that something was going to happen.
...Except, it didn’t. By the time Jer had brushed his teeth ( his toothpaste was fine ) and settled down the stow away in time for bed, absolutely nothing had been out of place.
Adrian was already in bed, reading one of his new favorite novels, like nothing was wrong. Jer narrowed his eyes at him as he approached the bed.
“...Okay, spill it. What was your prank??” “Hmm?” "Don’t play dumb, what was it? I really don’t want to come across it tomorrow or something when I’m not expecting it.”
The redhead gave him a sheepish smile. “Actually, I didn’t quite have the time to put one together this year, with you and Coco to fuss over. And the baby, of course.”
“...You mean you threatened me with ‘be prepared’...and you didn’t actually have a prank planned. At all.”
“Yes, that ended up as the prank.” Adrian chuckled at him.
Jer gave him a burning glare, before he threw the covers back and eased himself down to sit on the bed. “You are brilliant. Evil, but brilliant. You win.”
Adrian flushed a bit, and set down his book. “Thank you, but this wasn’t a competition love. Sorry if I stressed you ouW JER WHY” his sentence was cut off as he tried his best to fling the ice cubes from his nightshirt. Coco began to bark at the bedroom door because of the yelling.
“REVENGE!” Jer bellowed, flinging the ice cube tray to the side and throwing his arms in the air in victory - only to wince slightly when the stow away was startled by his yelling. He let out a quieter “Woo!” and did his best to settle them down while Adrian jumped up to rid himself of the cold bits of ice.
They both laughed after a while, and Adrian admitted defeat before climbing back into bed. “Alright, let’s all settle now that I’ve lost my place in my book.”
At the word settle, Coco quieted a little and hopefully went back to her bed. Although from the fluffy tail poking out under the door, it was likely not the case. Jer did his best to get comfortable, and felt like he could finally relax after such a stressful day. Being around Adrian helped of course, and even the stow away began to calm. It’d been a good day.
Now all Jer had to worry about was what to do for Adrian’s birthday.
“I’m telling you: NO! No pranks this year, I am too fat and too tired to deal with april fools bullshit right now. Please.”
“...Not even some small, harmless ones?” “Goddammit NO.” Jer was prepared to use his sandwich as a weapon should the argument continue.
Adrian was a little disappointed, but at the same time hadn’t really had any time to plan pranks, what with Coco and Jer to take care of. It was understandable. He chuckled a bit and relented at the threat of sandwich. “Alright, on my honor. No pranks.”
Satisfied, Jer snorted and eased himself into a chair, sandwich in hand. He was about to take a bite when he paused and looked confused. Quietly cursing, he moved to try and get himself back out of his chair; not so easy with a stow away on board.
“Oi sit, sit. What did you forget?”
“...A glass of juice. I can get it, just--”
“Nono, you don’t stress yourself over it. I’ve got it.” Adrian smiled and kissed the top of his head, before heading out to the kitchenette.
“You’re gonna spoil me!” Jer called after him, before letting out a grumpy snort.
...A toothy grin grew on his face, though, and moments later he heard Adrian shriek. And Jer laughed - he laughed so hard it upset the stow away, who kicked him in the kidneys relentlessly.
Adrian returned with a glass of juice in hand - and threw a rubber spider towards his husband as hard he could muster. Which wasn’t very hard. It flew past the chair and Jer tried to hold in his giggles.
Quietly setting down Jer’s juice, Adrian narrowed his eyes at him.
“...Be prepared.”
