i hope everyone is having a great start to 2021!

i don’t think it’s really a big surprise, but i’ve decided i’m going to go ahead and take a leave from tumblr (at least roleplay wise). i might still pop on every now and then just to catch up with some of my friends/see what they’re up to but i haven’t had the motivation or energy to write on here for a while (and doubt i will)

“You don’t have to apologize, Monoma-san-” Izuku started, although he flinched every time the other got sick. It didn’t stop him from rubbing calming circles along the other’s back, trying to find at least some way to comfort him. 

“I’m sorry you aren’t feeling well... do you want me to take you to Recovery Girl?” The words are soft-spoken, now that the other seemed to have at least gotten most of it out of his system. Izuku didn’t know whether Recovery Girl would really do anything or just have Izuku escort him back to his dorm- but Izuku figured it might be worth a shot to at least go see her. “I’ll walk you back after, too...”

     “ are you sure? i’m sure what i have is already okay...” he’s somewhat hesitant, but the idea of going to a tailor with shōto admittedly makes him feel... excited. he’s never gone to one before, and likely wouldn’t dare go alone ; this was the perfect opportunity to finally go! plus maybe he could finally have the opportunity to ask some questions about formal dress... izuku wasn’t exactly the best at dressing himself. “ i think i’d like that, though!”

     “ thank you for helping, i... i don’t really know about any of this!” nor did his mom. sometimes izuku wonders if parts of his transition would have been easier had he had a father figure in his life, but he can’t help but be grateful for what he has in the first place. his mother was as supportive as he could ever dream of. he scratches the back of his neck awkwardly, feet shuffling. “ can you teach me how to tie my bow tie...? i’ve never worn one before...”

“You look really nice in a suit Midoriya~” Was she saying that simply to get a reaction out of him? Maybe. There wasn’t much fun she could really have until her performance, so at least she could see a familiar face.

     “ y-you really think so?” the compliment immediately dyes his cheeks a bright red. wearing formal suits like these were so uncomfortable, but izuku would sheepishly admit he feels... more affirmed when wearing them. his tie still lays askew on his neck, and his red sneakers are entirely mismatched with the rest of his outfit. his entire appearance disheveled as if he’d rushed through dressing - when in reality, it’d taken him longer than he’d admit to try to make himself look presentable. “ that means a lot coming from you...! you look amazing!”

psa. let people unfollow you. let people soft block you. don’t harass them. don’t vague. don’t demand to know why they did it. don’t sit and watch their blog. too many times i’ve heard from mutuals who are too worried about the reactions of others that they haven’t followed bc it’s easier to just let it be than rock the boat. that isn’t okay. people shouldn’t be fearful of your reactions. let people unfollow and block you without worry of being vagued or harassed.

brief semi-hiatus !!

i’m going to take a brief semi-hiatus until i get adjusted after moving/training for my new job. i move on monday and my training starts friday and lasts for two weeks! i’ll have a lot more limited activity as school and work starts up again as well
