Derek finds saying ‘I love you’ very easy; it’s basically second nature for him, because he loves his friends, he loves his family, his farm, the valley, his new life, everything, really! It’s normal for people around him to hear him say goodbye to Red with a quick ‘Love you!’, or telling his mom he loves her before hanging up the phone. His boyfriend will defos be hearing it a lot once he starts dating Derek!

L : LOVE. who does your muse love?

Well, as mentioned before, he loves his family and friends, but Derek is a bit too bashful to mention any of his more ‘serious’ crushes. Maybe he doesn’t love them just yet, but he’s certainly getting there! They’re mainly some of his closest friends, but he... ahhh, nevermind! He’s too shy to say their names! Probably because he’s scared of messing up their friendships, to be honest.

Mipha... He had been staying away from Zora’s Domain lately. Keeping a respectful distance while she re-acclimated herself to life. Sidon was grown now, her father was in tears at his daughter’s return, the entire Zora race had turned from grieving to celebrating. It would be too much for him to be included. She had enough on her plate.

But he had only been able to stay away for a month. Link had to see her again, despite the recovery-- both physical and mental-- that he knew she was going through. 

Mipha greeted with smiles and tentative legs-- he imagined she must still be in pain sometimes. Her hands gently took his, for only a moment, in greeting.

But Link was overcome with a swell of emotion. She was live, she was here, she was STILL here-- and when she held his hands in hers for a brief squeeze, Link leaned forward and pecked his lips to her cheek. Grateful that she was still here, smelling of river water and pearls.
