                                          @elegansproelior has met a familiar face.

The soft voice was not expected in the slightest, certainly not when most of those that he’d passed had merely stared but left him well enough alone to just meander through the civilization. So having one of them ( who he could only assume were Zora? ) coming up and asking him so forward a question had taken him by surprise enough  to have him stilling and giving her what he hoped was a disarming smile.

“Oh, yeah it is. Never been here before, but I was following the river and when I saw the buildings I knew I had to visit. It’s beautiful here and I wanted to just see what it was like.”

She held a small gift behind her, however, she did not want to present it to mipha, just yet, as she seemed a bit tied up. She put the gift in her back pocket and caught up with her.

“Y-Yeah, sure, of course! Just... h-hold on.”

She had gotten slightly better with her magic, over the year, as she used t more. Slowly and with a lot of concentration, she motioned around with her finger, glowing purple. After a minute, there were lines of what seemed to be a small waterproof cart that poofed in, as soon as it was finished being traced. After a deep breath, she spoke up again.

“D-Don’t you think it’ll be easier if we transported in this?”

It was perhaps one of Hyrule’s best-kept secrets that Link enjoyed cooking. Dicing vegetables wasn’t quite the same as swordplay, but it was a useful skill he’d picked up at both home and in the castle’s kitchen when time permitted. 

Baking, though, was cooking’s weird cousin, where timing and temperature took more consideration. But for Mipha, he’d spent time carefully measuring out ingredients, mixing them, and collecting the strawberries himself. Her reaction was worth every moment of work.

Share it? He looked down at the cake and then back up at her before nodding. He couldn’t refuse her, especially on her birthday. 

He held his hand up to his mouth, imitating putting food into it, and then, with furrowed brows, held up his pointer finger and wiggled it. He pointed at her then made the motion of picking something up with his forefinger and thumb. The signs were completed in a matter of moments. ‘Where to eat? You pick.’

link is wading in the river below Zora ‘ s Domain  .  trying to catch a voltfin trout off - guard as he quietly walks through shallow waters  .  the water is freezing  ,  link can barely feel his legs at this point but he continues on  .  he leaps into the water with a splash ,  hands wrapping around the scaled body of a fish  .  when he straightens  ,  with water sticking his hair to his face and a fish firmly grasped in his fist  ,  he feels another presence nearby  .  he turns  ,  already knowing who he ‘ ll find behind him  .  ❛  — !! ❜   he smiles at Mipha  .  his hair uncomfortably clinging onto his cheeks  ,  against his forehead  .  he holds up his catch for her to see  .  he shivers  .

     They sat upon the top of a mountain, looking upon Zora’s Domain. The world was quiet -- at least for the time being. It was unusual in his life, very rarely having any moments of calm in a world so full of danger and chaos. That didn’t mean he didn’t want to enjoy the moments while he still could. 

     “Mipha.” His voice was low, trying not to disrupt the beautiful silence around them. “I admire you.” He didn’t look to her until the last second, a smile gracing his lips only slightly. He didn’t smile often but, when he did, it was always true and genuine.

— "Mipha? In Rito Village? My, what an honor, your majesty. What have we done to be so humbled by your presence?”

— The Rito gave a mock bow and laughed to himself. The gesture was rude but in reality it was more of a joke than anything else even if it was hard to tell the difference with him. It was rare that Mipha visited him since she had more to do than just her Champion duties, which already kept her busy enough, but it must’ve been something important for her to make the journey and that thought was enough to make Revali be serious and straighten up.
