Summer Development Prompts!

01) Maria's favorite summer tradition is traveling! Her favorite season is summer, and she quite likes the heat, so she will often go someplace warm and tropical.

03) Maria's favorite summer memory was going to see the ocean for the first time. She was a little girl, and her family looked somewhat functional for a while, so she treasures the memory very much.

14) Maria's typical summer outfit is something super vibrant and just a little sexy, with colors inspired by the ocean. Her jewelry is typically gold, honoring the sun.

31) Any family event with the Von Karmas devolves into chaos and an emotional battlefield so Maria chooses which ones to attend very carefully. A family reunion implies that more Von Karmas than normal will be in one place. It would take a lot to drag her to that! She might go in a misguided attempt to make nice memories for her child but that's it.

Now we all know that Maria is quite beautiful and sometimes weaponizes this. Okay. She does it a lot.

You can find this reflected in her cat. Naomi is inside most of the time, but when she sits by a window, male cats will start hanging around eventually because they think she is something else. They will often call out, trying to get her to come join them. This is mildly annoying during the day. It is infuriating at night. Maria often has to physically remove Naomi from the window for them to leave.

When Naomi comes outside, she may use one of these lovestruck cats to do her bidding. It usually involves food. Sometimes a girl wants to try a dead bird, okay?

Luckily, Naomi is fixed, or there would be little Naomis running around by now.

The courtyard in Shirasagi is kind of a sanctuary for both Maria and Clara. Maria has started a personal garden there. Ryoma won't let her import flowers like her botanical garden back home (some might be invasive!), so she had as many native plants as she could planted there in tasteful patterns.

Clara enjoys the koi pond personally. The fish are so peaceful and beautiful and can even be playful, which fascinates her. The fact that some of them are decades old is even more fascinating. The dogs find them fascinating too, though, which annoys her sometimes. It's not fun prying a flailing fish out of a dog's mouth!

In spirit of the day, a slightly NSFW headcanon:

Maria does get full Brazilians, and she normally takes at least half the day off to recover even with all the preparations she takes.

In the future, I could see Clara doing that exactly once and never wanting to do that again, lol

Maybe Maria takes her to the salon one day and she's just on the ride back like "NEVER AGAIN OMG"

"It'll pass in a few hours!"

"I AM NEVER! DOING THAT! AGAAAAIN!!!"

So earlier I watched a video in which a model scout rates how well certain people would do in high fashion modeling!

It's a very interesting and specific process. Long story short, being tall and slim with long legs and a striking face (and muscle tone for guys) will take you very far. And he stressed that this was only for high fashion, like runways and editorials and stuff. Some people were good for other types of modeling. It's a very broad industry.

Now obviously Maria would make the cut because she worked in it before. I wondered if Clara would because her body type is a little different. She might be one of the girls he called adorable lol.

As a baby, Clara was in a local commercial. They were advertising teething rings. She doesn't remember doing it, but Maria is very proud of it.
