i am very very lonely||ljh&byg
it was no surprise that yongguk would be up at 4 am. hell, people would be surprised if he wasn't. for once, he decided to take a break from working on music. just for a few days, nothing too major. just some time to spend doing something other than performing or practicing. his friends had gotten too worried about him overworking himself and he wanted to show them that he actually could go a few days without writing lyrics or touch any music editing software and instruments. he didn't want to continue to overwork himself because of the fear of himself losing interest in making music.
of course, he found himself extremely bored. it felt like one of the only sources of entertainment that could also keep him occupied him when he was lonely was taken away from him. it was like taking caffeine away from a coffee addict. taking candy away from someone with an insane sweet tooth. taking cigarettes away from a chain smoker.
here he was, body sprawled across his couch, using the remote to flip through channels on the television before giving up in frustration and letting out a groan since there was nothing to watch this late at night. he really was not in the mood for reruns of coffee prince right now. the digit clock seemed to be moving so slowly. he needed someone to talk to. someone who could keep him entertained and would be up this late at night.
who would be up at this hour and not mind yongguk calling them? he needed someone he knew was a night owl. someone who didn't get annoyed by him. jihyun? he met her through a mutual friend at one of the clubs he went to and they immediately got along well- having so much in common. she even helped him get a part time job at a local daycare she volunteered at when his apartment's rent went up.
he picked his samsung galaxy up from the coffee table in front of the tv and clicked on the girl's number. the second the phone was answered, yongguk let out a loud sigh. "i'm so bored."
Sometimes when she sat alone in her apartment Jiyul would wonder why she ever bothered. What exactly made her bother to move into this dingy cheap apartment? It was crappy. The windows didn't face the sun at all and so it constantly felt like she was in Antarctica. Not to mention it was currently completely bare save for a small coffee table covered in stains that she found at a garage sale for 10 bucks, a mattress with pillow and blanket.... oh, and the milk crate she was currently sitting on. It was all last minute. Jiyul never once thought about the consequences. She never thought about the lack of funds. The lack of food. Lack of furniture. She shivered. Or the lack of warmth. Letting out a soft breath, a puff of warm air rose into the air and disappeared. That proved how cold it was in there. After a while Jiyul decided it was about time she left the cold room and headed outside for a walk. Against her own will she rose and pulled her coat around her tighter. If only she had money for a heater.
