Lucius feels a little awkward, he'll admit. He knows how he's been acting since they've all reunited, and he really knows he ought to apologize for it. Pete was right: he wasn't the only one going through things, and it wasn't right for him to take that anger and trauma out on everyone that so much as looked at him wrong.

Lucius can't sleep. He swears he's been tossing and turning all night long, his thoughts not ceasing, even for a second. The rocking of the ship usually puts him to sleep eventually, but not tonight. Some nights are harder than others. Some nights he can't close his eyes without feeling like he's been tossed back into the ocean, and he always wakes up gasping for air.

Frowning, he rolls over to look at Pete, lightly tapping him on the shoulder. It has to be at least four in the morning. He doesn't know, and he really does feel bad for trying to wake him up, but he doesn't think he'll be okay otherwise. "Pete...darling, are you awake?" he murmurs, snuggling up closer to him. "I can't sleep."
