"NO!!" ( which meant all resources utilized, or some very unforgivable mishap )
In Which Molly Meets Her End
“Because I thought we deserved to eat out tonight, that’s why.”
Molly anticipated the question the moment she swung her leg off of her motorcycle, tucking her helmet under her arm and extending the bag of decidedly unhealthy food toward her girlfriend. Rather than wait for it to be asked and waste the time they could use for eating, she preferred to answer and get it over with.
It was odd, how nervous a simple trip for takeout could make the woman, but Molly didn’t see the harm in it. She wasn’t a creature meant to be kept under lock and key, and she’d yet to see the impending danger Roxy seemed to sense.
“And because you’ve been stressed out lately, I thought you could use a break from trying to make me eat healthy.” The grin is quick and cheeky, and she pressed a kiss to Roxy’s cheek. It wasn’t as though Molly actually minded the healthier fare on occasion…but there was a time and place for that, wasn’t there? Feeling affectionate, she reached to brush blonde hair behind Roxy’s ears.
She didn’t get the chance, because before her next breath, there’s the small crack of a gunshot, and Molly crumpled to the ground.
