A soft gasp leaves the tiny sparkling the moment he lays eyes on the big, green dinobot. Grimlock is by far the coolest thing Bumblebee’s ever seen in his very short life cycle and he’s determined to make that known.

Toddling up to the mech, Bumblebee gives Grimlock’s pede the gentlest of pats as his doorwings - too large for his current frame size - wiggle happily behind him. “Woooooooooow. You’re so cool!” he squeaks, quickly breaking off into giggles.

Ignoring all the sharp, pointy bits that are definitely not safe for sparklings, Bumblebee chooses to focus on the glowing purple star over Megatron’s spark. His own EM field wavers, instinctual fear nearly overtaking his processor, but he’s far too curious and trusting for his own good.

Smiling, he waves up at Megatron. “HI!” he greets, shouting so the much larger mech can hear him. After a moment, he takes two items out of his underdeveloped subspace pockets: a rusty piece of pipe and a filthy blanket (upon closer inspection, it’s a toss up of whether or not the sparkling is dirtier than his toys). “Play?”

By the way his EM field responds, it’s clear that Bumblebee sees this bot as a friend. He giggles loudly, clapping his servos together as he all but sprints to the Rescue Bot. “Blades! Blades! Blades!”

As he jogs closer, he holds out his servos. It’s just a rock from the beach, but Bumblebee cradles it like it’s the most important thing in the world. “For you!”
